Message from the Scammer Bammers

Hello fellow disers,

This is just a message from the Scammer Bammers regarding new scams that are appearing. We would like you to please pm us with all related info about the latest scams so that we can catch them or if it is beyond our power to contact the necessary persons. It is prefered if you pm me as I will be able to take the quickest action as I am on the boards almost all the day.

well the mods aren't always on and we have helped them catch two scammers on the dis boards itself and an aim scammer

I usually see at least one moderator on at all times. If it is not brain, its mal if not mal, lori or webmasterkelsie.

mal remember that scammer who was telling everyone to post codes and she will give them free stuff and how no one was not believing her... I pmed all the mods and kelsie too but it took three hours for a reaction... and we have the aim scammer thing posted in our old thread way back dont know it if it's still there

While it's great of you to offer help to fellow members, it would be best for people to PM any or all VMK Moderators with this information so we can investigate and try to prevent others from being scammed. I would hope if you were contacted , you would advise others to do the same.

Another way would be to post a scam warning similar to what KrazyLuke did yesterday. He let us know about an email scam, by describing what and how it is taking place, without adding any names or personal accusations to the post.

While I am not going to argue with you about logistics, I am going to back LoriR on this and say anyone that has been scammed or sees someone trying to scam on the DIS either by what ever means please contact a moderator.

All the Scammer Bammers can do is post a warning or report the scam/scammers to the moderators/webmasters and the person reporting the scam can do that themselves, just do not post the name of scammers.
