Has anyone had any experience with Mesaba Aviation? I found a good airfare from OKC to Orlando through Orbitz, using Northwest Airlines ($190 per person, roundtrip), but the first leg of the trip is on an Avro RJ Avroliner operated by Mesaba Aviation. I'd never heard of any of that, the airline or the type of plane, so it made me a little nervous.

I flew Mesaba to and from Detriot, MI (to make my Northwest connection). We were on the Avro RJ. It had 4 engines, and the wings were above the cabin. The seats were 2 on each side of the aisle in first class, and 2 on one side and 3 on the other side in coach. Mesaba was fine, and I would fly them again. :)

I've flown Mesaba several times and found them to be reliable. Their small jets are quite comfortable and their flight attendants among the best I've flown with.

Mesaba is a "feeder" or regional airline for NWA. It is either completely or partially owned by NWA.

Thanks for the information. I think I'll grab that fare. I have a feeling I'm not going to find anything much lower, especially for Memorial Day weekend.
