Meryll83's SBP/Citrico's/Morocco TR - And they lived happily ever after...

Looks like a lovely breakfast at CP!
I've been there several times for lunch, but never for breakfast.. hoping to change that this next trip (December!) and go there on our first morning :goodvibes

:scared1: that's so bad about the rental car! hope it all goes ok....

Another great update. Breakfast at CP sounds good, what a nightmare with the car though hope it didn't take too long to get it sorted.

How annoying about the car, we had so many problems with our hire car last year..........thinking about it and the year before! Lets hope this year is better!

I just read your whole TR front to back and LOVED everything! Looks like you guys had so much fun and your wedding was GORGEOUS! I am definately going to have to steal your DH's idea of dressing up in each world and taking pictures when we do our drinking around the world! I hope you got the car fixed quickly or that they got you a new one... no fun.

Oh no! We had car trouble TWICE on our last trip! Ended up waiting 3 hours for a new car to be delivered. Hope you got it sorted quickly.:goodvibes
unfortunately that sounds all too familiar!
I'll try not to keep you all in suspense too much longer, been soooo busy lately, we're in the process of organising our house move, but once we've moved and settled in (if not before) I will get back to my TR!

That sounds like a fab way to start your holiday Emma! There's a really good choice of yummy goodness to gorge on!

Love the TR, the chipmunk hat is adorable!
Can't beat a silly hat photo!

All will be revealed in my next installment!

It's actually slightly worrying how many people are saying they've had problems too!
We never hire a car ourselves, always bus or Mears it everywhere, but the next big holiday we book will be a West Coast road trip, so let's hope we don't have problems then!!

We had an amazing time, wish we could do it all over again...
I'm insanely jealous I didn't think of the dressing up in each country, so I highly recommend the idea!

Love the TR Meryll :lovestruc
Thanks Alex, where've you been hiding lately? Do you have a TR for us? x

I am really enjoying your TR and the pictures are great!
Glad you're enjoying the ride!

I'm all caught up so feel free to post more ;)
Finally! We've all been waiting! ;)
I'll get there Claire - you're putting me to shame now you're almost finished!

In other news...

Today we are...

DOUBLE DIGIT DANCING!!!
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

As the car situation didn't seem as it was going to get resolved too speedily, Julie and Steve agreed to wait for the car peeps whilst we got ourselves checked in at the Poly.

We managed to sneak onto a Disney bus to the Magic Kingdom as our bags weren't too big, and then took a monorail from there to the Polynesian Resort.

We were given leis as we checked in, but unfortunately no upgrade, still we shouldn't complain, this was a complimentary room night we'd gained from having our guests spending a certain amount of nights in Disney resorts and I'm not sure this is something Escape couples can wangle anymore...

Some less subtle than others!

We had a good view of the monorail tracks from our room, here's my attempt at catching 2 at once on camera:

We went back to Pop and discovered Steve was still waiting for the car folks to show up, Julie had given up and gone to the room to get ready to lounge by the pool.

Steve kindly let us give it up as a bad job for the day and waited it out on his own, so we went back to make the most of the Poly and check out that beautiful swimming pool!

First things first though, we cracked open the champagne from Gemma, Pete, Charlee and Adam's hamper! Here I am doing my best Ariel impersonation:

We sunned ourselves by the pool for a while, had a little swim and went for a walk around the marina...

After over 3 hours of poor Steve and Julie waiting, the car people finally showed up and it turned out the car had a flat battery, something to do with the keys not being completely turned round enough in the ignition to switch everything off - oopsie!

Today was our last chance to catch Fantasmic, as they'd stopped the nightly shows since we last went, and it looks like we went somewhere via the MK monorail judging by this photo:
Disney2009221.jpg

We met up with Simon's parents and watched Fantasmic with them, as they'd not seen it yet, but not before we got a few rounds of Tower of Terror in!

After the show (one of my favourites!) we slowly ambled out of the park, the lights are so pretty here on an evening, and we went our separate ways back to our resorts...

Si and I got up reasonably late for us on WDW holiday mode, as we weren't meeting Ty for or honeymoon shoot until 9.30am and that was at the Poly anyway!

In hindsight, maybe I should have gotten up a little earlier, as I don't think the honeymoon shoot photos are my most attractive, but I don't think my choice of dress was particularly flattering either, so I was a little disappointed with this in the end, but hey ho!
I probably should have paid for Ana to come and do something with my hair and make up again, but not the end of the world...
We only had about half an hour, and only got a small amount of photos anyway, but again, Disney don't allow you to substitute their wedding photography for a honeymoon shoot anymore, so we were lucky we got it at all really.

Ty told us something had kicked off at the Atlantic Dance Hall the night before, with a father of a bride "dropping the F-bomb" on the wedding planner - didn't find out any more than that, but it sounds like someone wasn't happy!!

It was quite an overcast morning, but that was good for my blinking issues anyway!

Here are the results of our honeymoon shoot:

There are a couple more, but I'm even less of a fan of those, so we'll keep them hidden away for now!!
Actually, I've just found some more that look okay, am going to put them on Facebook now...

By the time we were done and had grabbed a quick something to eat, our short stay at the Poly was over, so we made our way back to good old Pop Century!

I really like your photos from your honeymoon shoot, think you look nice.

aww I think the honeymoon photo shots are nice too! :goodvibes

Was that the 'honeymoon photoshoot' or the Photopass private photography session?

I have asked our travel agent to find out about both for me.. photopass was about $99 and Honeymoon session was nearer $300 I think?! ... I'm thinking of booking one at the Grand Floridian, before having dinner at Victoria & Albert's - then we'll be all dressed up and looking nice hehe!

I just wanted to comment and say this is one of the best TR's I've read so far. I'm not all the way finished but everything is just so splendid and unique and just omgawesome! :) I especially love your red crinoline. I think it really makes some of your pictures memorable.

Thanks girls, I just think I look a bit chubby in some of them - we'll blame the choice of dress mostly I think! The ones I've posted aren't too bad, but if you look at some of my facebook ones you'll see what I mean!

This was the honeymoon photoshoot - we didn't use Disney for our wedding day photography that was included in the Escape package, so they let us trade it for the honeymoon shoot instead, so it didn't cost us anything extra.
Unfortunately they don't let you trade anymore, if you don't use the wedding day photography, you don't get anything else instead.
I've not seen any of the private photopass session photos, but I think for the difference in price it's worth investigating how these have turned out for other people...

Thanks for reading along!
I must confess, I had seen the coloured crinolines done elsewhere online which is where my inspiration came from, and I know a couple of the other girls on here did the same, but the cool thing is everyone still has had their own unique colour, I don't think I've seen any look exactly the same!

Isn't the Poly the best!
Claire, it's beautiful - it would have been nice to spend more time there. I still think the location of the Boardwalk has the slight edge for me though, but I think that's probably just because a lot of our favourite restaurants are around the Boardwalk and Epcot, so we always seem to spend a lot of time in that area!

I want to stay at the Boardwalk on a future trip.

I got all excited when I saw you post this morning, thought you were posting another update - I need more!

I was working like crazy through May and June (teaching extra classes) and life is finally slowing down now that the spring semester is over at the college where I teach, so just started getting caught up on the Dis. It really is too bad that Disney doesn't do the honeymoon shoot anymore for escape brides. Despite your concerns, I think you got some cute shots at the Poly, I love the one with the rings and on the hammock. I have only stayed at the Poly once we my friend's family and loved it! Looking forward to reading more and getting completely caught up too.
