Merry Mixer 2015 dates released

I was surprised to see the dates out for Merry mixer 2015- and even more surprised to see that one of the dates aligns with our scheduled trip on December 8th. As a new DVC member I am super excited to experience this event during our first December WDW vacation!!!

Here is the complete list of currently scheduled dates, all taking place on Tuesdays:

- November 24, 2015
- December 1, 2015
- December 8, 2015
- December 15, 2015

That's right around the time we'll be there. Don't think I've ever heard of it. Can anyone shed some light on what it is? Sounds like a big party for DVC members?

Merry Mixers are holiday parties for members. DJ, dance party, photo ops with characters, treats and drinks, drawings for door prizes, an opportunity to purchase a holiday DVC pin and other merchandise. As you leave each family gets a DVC ornament.

It will be held in Epcot between Canada and Great Britain pavilions meaning you will need park admission to attend. Open to all members but must show your blue member's card to get in. Just show up.

I'm glad they announced the dates early so people can actually plan to be there since it's so difficult to adjust closer in. Now let's hope they don't adjust the dates.

What time do they start?

Looks like it goes from 3-5PM.

We've never been, but we're arriving for our Thanksgiving vacation on 11/24. I 'was' going to go for a late flight to minimize the amount of school the kids miss...but now I think I'll be going for an early flight to try to go to the Merry Mixer for the first time!

We arrive on 11/21 so I will make sure we go on the 24th. My grandchildren will love it. I will make sure that we make that our Epcot Day.
