Has anyone been yet this year? We are eating at Le Cellier at 3:45 on 12/20 and was pondering stopping in for a few minutes. Can we get in and out quickly? Is the free gift an ornament? Is it worth our time? Just wanted some feedback if anyone has any. Thanks!

We went to the Dec 6th mixer, yes you can get in and out quick and you get the ornament on the way out. We stayed for about 40 min, we had MVMCP tickets, so we had another party to attend that day.

I figure I'd tag onto this question rather than starting a new thread. We may attend the 12/20 Merry Mixer. If we have a non-DVC family touring Epcot with us, can they also get into the Merry Mixer? The touringplans.com story on the Merry Mixer says "you and some guests", but I didn't know what that meant.

Thanks for any help with this.

I was also at the Dec. Mixer. I walked in, filled out the contest card, walked around the room, and left. It was very quick.

That is about all we did on 12/6. The last Merry Mixer we attended was 2006, held at International Gateway. Very nice event, where it was so easy to start a conversation with DVC cast members and other members. This year's event was so loud with the music and DJ, you could not even talk with your own party. Characters are now in a roped off area instead of mingling with members.

But I guess with the amount of members there are now, this event will never be as enjoyable for us now.

The gingerbread man was very good, and the ornaments were cute little rocking horses this year. We got our Gingerbread man, some cider, and visited with a few familiar faces and the left separately so we got an extra ornament for another DIS/DVC friend who couldn't be there this year. :thumbsup2
