Ok there were 4 of us in the room, myself, DH, DD14 and DS11. The rooms look exactly as they do on their website. We found them to be excellent. We stayed there for 10 nights and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it.

The hotel and rooms look just as they do on their website Meridian Palms

The hotel has a complete refurb earlier this year. The room/bathroom were clean, the carpet didn't look grubby (still kept my flip-flops on though....habit!). The beds are so comfortable!

Could do with a little more storage. With 4 of us and 10 nights there were a lot of toileteries/sun creams etc we just picked up a couple of $1 baskets from Walmart to keep stuff in - like to make it easier for housekeeping.

The breakfast - consisted of mini-muffins, mini pastries, bread, waffles, bagels, mini do-nuts, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy. There was also either a bowl of tinned fruit salad or chopped fresh melon and some whole fruit too. The staff were a bit slack in re-stocking food though - but for a quick grab and eat before the parks it was great, we aren't big breakfast eaters. There was oatmeal available too.

A choice of hot coffee and teas and hot chocolate sachets. The coffee was boiling hot but the flask with hot water was tepid....warm it up in the microwave

We had a problem with the room keys not working a couple of times but they were re-set easily at the desk - we were told that if you keep them next to credit cards they can de-activate. No big shakes.

The pool is smallish but we weren't too bothered as we wanted to go to the waterparks.

You can't see this hotel from the main road - it's set back a little way. As you head along the 192 west past marker 6, you come up to a big souvenir shop with a massive mermaid on it - take a right there. Behind the shop is an IHOP and the Meridian Palms is behind that.

To get onto Disney property - take a right onto 192, make a left onto Sherberth Road and follow to the 1st set of lights where you take a right onto Osceola Parkway - as soon as you hit it there will be signs to all the Disney areas/properties.

I'd return for the price/location/beds!

Thanks for the review. Even though I have reservations for a pool home for my next stay, I checked out the prices of this place for fun. The AAA rate for Presidents week is $109. That didn't seem bad at all since it includes continental breakfast. The beds look very comfy and the rooms look spacious enough for a hotel. I will have to keep this in mind in case my family is looking for a place to stay.

That is a good rate for Presiden't Day Week. Sounds like a decent place. I had actually never heard of this property. Thank you for sharing. :)

We booked this hotel for March. I'm sure glad you posted about it. We've never stayed at this place before. You put my mind to rest. Thank you!

juttawdw - sorry I didn't take any photos. There are some posted on tripadvisor

Traveller photos

our room was like the majority of the photos.....not the one for $50:confused3
