Woohoo! I'm halfway through!

DH knows better not to complain about anything! Once he complained his steak was tough, guess what I did, I snatched it off his plate and chucked in the trash can. The look on his face was classic! I think I was seriously PMSing that day. Needless to say, he never complains about anything anymore!

That is priceless. DH has been so nice. He has never complained about my cooking but once I made a horrible meatloaf. I put way too many bread crumbs in it and they just soaked up the grease and it was so nasty. DH ate his whole big piece and then quietly said, "I don't think I can eat anymore of that." before he ran to the bathroom.

So in case you weren’t aware, The Pirate & Princess Party is making a comeback in August. The dates we have in common with PP&P are August 21 & August 28th. I really wanted to go and DH had already agreed to go, should it be offered again. Problem, (surprised? ) since it is a hard ticket event, I had to discuss it with the Ducks and Waldo and the Enabler. Waldo & the Enabler don’t really care to go, so I thought I’d book them a nice ADR alone that night. The Ducks are on the fence and are not concerned with having to pay for additional admission, but whether or not the PP&P is for them. I invite them over after Huey’s baseball game (Yes, my friends, he got a hit and actually scored a run!) to look at the pictures of the PP&P on various websites. Donald doesn’t think it’s something the older boys will enjoy, so they duck out. No pun intended. After they leave, I talk to DH about it. I really, really, want to do this. I tell DH that since Maddie is going to BBB the day before and getting her Princess gown, we should just go by ourselves and get our money's worth on Maddies $80 gown. I once heard you have to spend $$ to save it, baby! DH doesn't want to go solo. What's up with that? I'm not happy and pull my crazy wife card. I start trying to sell this party... c'mon, it'll be fun, Maddie will love it, we can have some alone family time. I try everything, and still nothing. So, I must pull the crying game. Yes, I did... I sunk that low. I started with... "Here I am planning this whole darn vacation so everyone can have a great time and no one wants to do anything I want to do. I want to go to the PP&P! I want to go now!" Well, let me just cut to the chase and save some time. We're not going. BUT, DH does make me an offer I can't refuse. More on that later......

You should definitely take Maddie to the PP&P party!

Focked by a stranger!

So last night, DH and I went to see Dewey's Little League game. We were sitting watching his team get slaughtered when what to my wondering eyes should appear, but an unexpected FOCK by a complete stranger. Hmmmm... I'm not wearing lime green, I don't have any LGMHPC's on my persons. Do I just emit that lime green scent?? Does this person DIS and has he seen my pic on the boards?? I look at DH and tell him, See that guy standing next to 3rd base? He just FOCKED me! He looks at me with total disbelief then starts to study this stranger. There!! He did it again!! He just FOCKED me again!! DH says, No, he's sending the batter signals! They use FOCKER signals in baseball! I thought it was totally hysterical!!

Love it! I would have thought the same thing!

Obsessively TRing at the moment to justify truly nasty,nasty cost of WDW from Perth, Western Australia. We are officially the most isolated city in the world - natch! 5 hrs to Sydney THEN 12 hrs to LAX, THEN 4+ hours to MCO. I will feel like I deserve trumpets blaring and all the characters lined up to welcome me in IF we make it (plus upgrades to GF o'course!).

Actually we're so far off the radar, disney.com.au doesn't even MENTION WDW!! I think that's funny actually. And we can't get the free DVD not neither - bad suckage...

We met up with a family from Australia at AK last trip. We were getting ready to get in line for the train that goes to Rafiki's Planet Watch and they were asking the CM if there were any characters there. Their 12yo son was deathly afraid of characters. And they came all the way to WDW? The mom said they took a vote and he lost.

Can someone tell this clueless diser what this means LY,MI. Is it a secretive sign off that you can let me in on, or just a love ya sign off??Its driving me crazy . I am one confused Diser!!!But that is nothing new!!hahahaha.

QUESTION AND ANSWER TIME:
Do you buy a new wardrobe for vacation???

To some degree. It depends on if I think we need new stuff. I buy stuff at the Disney Store all the time so even though I didn't plan to do it this trip the kids got all new shirts and a couple of new shorts. I bought DH all new shorts last time so he didn't need any and I got myself a few pairs of shorts this time. And my first ever capris. I decided to give them a try. This time our biggest item was we all got Crocs. Of course the jibbitz made that even worse.

I will hopefully be caught up soon. It's hard reading TR's and PTR's. I'm always entering sweepstakes on-line and doing other things while I enter. Click, file a receipt, click, throw away some trash, click, put in pile to shred. But when you read reports you can't look away and do anything else and your bum goes numb. Now I'm going to bed to sleep off the numbness before our family cookout tomorrow.

GUESS WHAT EVERYONE???

I hit Target today.... you know Friday rituals... and I found a pool cover up. Well, actually I found a tube toppy type dress and I tried it on. OMG! I looked like the Micheline man! It was way too Britney Spears for me, so I put it back. Then I saw this sarong type thing, or so I though and grabbed and threw it in the basket. Evan was losing patience with me, so I thought I'd try it on at home and return if I had to. Well, I tried it on and it's really cute. It can actually be worn 4 ways: A short tube dress (nah), short skirt (nah), knee length tube dress (nah), calf length skirt thumbsup2). It was on sale for $14.99! Score, baby!!! I also hit the travel size toiletries section again. What is the matter with me? I'm obsessed with travel size crap! Please tell me I'm not the only one!

A. Don't know if I should even mention this, but.... should you find yourself in need of another cover-up, WDW has them in the hotel shops and in Adventureland. Big, pretty sarongs with Mouse ear batik. And cheap! By WDW standards anyway - under $20!
B. I work in marketing and promotion and I'm here to tell ya - tiny packaging = big hit with the ladies! No joke, many studies show that miniature anything will grab a woman's attention. Myself included. TFI.

On a whim, if you will I called WDW and I spoke to the nicest person. I asked for a specialty cruise for August 24th. and guess what????? They had 1 left.

I only made it through page 46 tonight. I got most of my packing done today. It appears that DH didn't understand what I meant when I said we were packing lite this time. He doesn't even want me packing a little case with Tylenol, Aleve and the like. Just for that I'm making him carry both of our bags through the airport (and I'm packing extra Midol for him).

Tera and I are looking for something to do for a girl's night at the world! Would you recommend a lapu night???

FUNNY STORY:

Yesterday when I picked Maddie up from school, her teacher pulled me aside and told me that the class was having a discussion about what school they would be attending next year. (She goes to private pre-school this year) So most of the kids named off local schools... St. Marks, St. Bruno, St. Mary, yada, yada, yada. When it was Maddies turn, she looked at the class and said St. Disney World. All the kids oooohed and ahhhhhed! I had to explain that we were going to Disney World this summer and that she would be going to Laurel School. I guess we'll have to work on school more and Disney planning less!

I LOVE that story! Soon she'll be asking for her own username on here.

Parla, you can trade that old scrunchie for a some new sleek ouchless pony tail holders from Target. I buy the 20 pack in black and brown for $2.99. Very nice. Beats the 80's scrunch, hands down!

We're pushing the 80 day mark.... well, in about 5 days. But who's counting, right?

We had a great weekend. The Ducks came over and we grilled and chilled. I didn't want to talk about the trip. Ok, who am I kidding. I was dying to talk about the trip, I love going over the details and just chatting about everything really just melts my butter. But.... I refrained from busting out with WDW facts and travel jumble, only because I don't want to kill them with my endless details. I'll save that for my DIS friends, eh?

Anywho, we were all just sitting around with very full bellies and Donald brought up the trip. Whew!! I was glad someone did! It was killing me at this point. We started to discuss what can and cannot be taken on your carryon, etc. And then it hit me.... we haven't figured out how we're going to get 10 bodies and 10-15 pieces of luggage to the airport! I know it's actually cheaper to go by limosine, but I've haven't booked anything or gotten quotes from any companies. I've got to work on that, pronto! We're going to try for a 10 passenger and then Daisy's dad will follow in his van with all the luggage. Strange, I know.

LL Pm'd me with all the golf information. Her DH Tony, Jo's DH David, Waldo and my DH Andy are golfing on the morning of the 25th at 9am ish. Thank God, LL gave me all the hairy details. Waldo was driving me up a wall with his questions. So that's set. Let's see..... oh, yes our Illuminations Cruise is all set. I'm going to call again tomorrow and see if I can get a different date. I'm a little concerned because we have an ADR at Rose & Crown at 6:20 on the IROE cruise night. We have to check in at the Yacht Club at 8:00 pm. Is that enough time? I might see if we can book Spoodles for 5:00 ish and try to change R&C to our Spoodles night. KWIM? But, that won't be until Thursday.

Ok, one last little thing. If you may recall, Maddie and Evan and I planted a veggie garden this spring, right? Well, I wanted to share with you the fruits..errr veggies of our labor:

Maddie is holding a beautiful bunch of carrots and Evan's got a bell pepper in his hands. We also picked some green peas and the string beans should be ready in a few weeks. Beyond them in the photo is our HUGE tomato plant. It's got about 20 beef steak tomatoes on it. They're all still green, but soon they'll be just yummy with some buffalo mozzerella and fresh basil from the herb garden The Enabler is growing!

Love those home-grown veggies! I don't have enough room for a real garden but have tomatoes in pots on my patio, plus a container herb garden with basil, organo, thyme, parsley, and mint. I have to go to the farmers' market for everything else. I know the kids enjoy growing all the goodies too!
