Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

It made me sad to think that, yes someday, we will go to WDW and Waldo won't be there. Who will we go in search of? Who will throw us off schedule and wreck havoc on the poor WDW CM's who don't realise they must speak in a louder tone so Waldo can hear them? And so, I am happy that Waldo is going with us to WDW. I am happy that my children can sit on his lap and enjoy the sights and sounds of IASW. I am happy that we will be able to get frustrated when we lose Waldo and laugh when we find him. Truth be told. I am happy that we are going to experience these 10 days of magic together, as a family, even if it kills us and causes us to not speak to one another for 6 months after we return. Because, who knows when it will ever happen again?

Aw, that was lovely!! I think the child/grandparent bond is very special and children learn so much from different generations. I'm sad that Alice never met either of her grandfathers as they were both dead before she came along. But fortunately, she and the boys have a great rapport with both grannies. I can't bear to think of their grief when the inevitable happens. Hopefully it will be many years away.

Loved the new installment Tracy! The get-together with Utahmama and family sounds great!! Could the kids look any more adorable in those photos??!!! :goodvibes

As for Cat Woman... I don't know what to say... I'm kinda freaked out.

Wait, it's a man! If this is the same person, which I'm pretty sure it is, there's a website about him here: http://www.tattooblog.org/entry/catman-the-tattooed-stalking-cat/

I didn't notice they were doing a special song, until they announced, that we were chosen as the special family of the year. I got so excited. I'm in this park at least 3 times a month, and have yet to win a dream of any kind. So, I'm thinking "Whoooo hooooo!!! :woohoo: We're gonna get something good!! A stay in Mickey's Penthouse? A DVC membership?? What is it??? What did we win????
Whooo hooo a dream :cool1:  :cool1:

The nice singer announces "You are our family of the day and here is your special prize......" Next 2 guys come out with golden paper crowns and plastic Mardi Gras bead. WTH??? That's it??? I could hear that song from the old game show... Bwah bwah bwah bwahhhhhh! D'oh! :headache: Yes, our prize was some measley bead and crowns.
WHAT!!!!!! Why do they keep getting hopes up for some measly beads and a bit of paper :confused3

Uma even scored a coveted invitation to Maddie's birthday party. Which, by the way, isn't until October. But that's how Maddie measures her love for people. If she really loves you, you get invited to her party.
Awwww thats so sweet!

We took photos of them hugging, because, you never know, they may grow up and marry someday! :lmao:
well you never know and Evan does like the blondes doesn't he!

There's this girl sitting on the other side of the tree with her face surgically altered to look like a cat. I'm not kidding. She had cheek implants and upper lip implants. She had her entire face tatooed just like a cat. It was sooo strange, that Dh had to take her photo.

OMG :scared1: That is freaky and Deb how did you find that web site that is so him, yuck why would anyone do that and the teeth :scared:

I've seen that guy on television before. He truly feels that he is a cat trapped in a human body. Whatever.

Tracy, your story about Waldo was so sweet. It really is about the time you can spend with people, isn't it. I could go into a long drawn out family history here, but I'll spare you. Let's just say I am often reminded of how fast it all goes. You guys will have a wonderful time.

And BEADS???? What are they thinking? :confused3

Awww, it looks and sounds like you guys had such a nice visit! :goodvibes

And. About the cat woman. I consider myself a fairly hip gal - I've done my time in the punk rock scene and am generally supportive of alternative lifestyles. But. That's just plain BIZARRE. B I Z A R R E. She cares me more the Super Freaky Doll. TFI.

DH and I spent the morning with our kids doing all our favorite rides; Matterhorn, Mad tea party, Pooh and POTC.

I love, love the Matterhorn...I wish they would make one in WDW!
Like clockwork, noon rolled around and the kids started whining about lunch.

Never fails...they rule our schedules...at least they are cute!

I'm in this park at least 3 times a month, and have yet to win a dream of any kind. So, I'm thinking "Whoooo hooooo!!! :woohoo: We're gonna get something good!! A stay in Mickey's Penthouse? A DVC membership?? What is it??? What did we win????

WhooHOOSERS!

That was a belly flop!

Oh well...maybe you will be THE family of the day at WDW...then it woudl be all so worth the wait!

That is beyond strange. Aliens got her brain! That gave me the EBGB's BIG TIME! YUCK...

Okaaaay...that IS strange...I for one, will take my cats as cats and my people as people, but to each their own I guess...:confused3

Great updates as always!

If I may weigh in on the Teppanyaki debate, I say pick Spoodles. Teppanyaki does not serve fried rice with its hibachi. Sacrilege! :sad2:

We ate there once a long time ago and made the mistake of trying to order fried rice. They looked at us like we were from another planet and said that they did not serve fried rice because it was not authentic Japanese. Um...HELLO? what exactly is authentic Japanese about Hibachi? Its like McJapanese...I mean, really people...OK, rant over...so to make a long story long, I will not eat at Teppanyaki because I like fried rice with my McJapanese...so I say pick Spoodles...

Anyway, great pre-trippie...I'm lovin it so far...:thumbsup2 popcorn::

PS: Its a shame...we arrive on the 26th of August so we just miss the Lapu meet...unless of course I add an extra day...:rolleyes1

Okay, that Cat Woman is just plain scary! :scared1:
I wasn't scared as I was totally fasinated. And it's actually a man, to boot. I often wonder what goes through people minds, it's got to be some kind of childhood scarring or something. :confused3

My hope is that my people watching skills will come back with a photo freakier than you have...that is truly my wish!
1st...there was flower head lady.
2nd...I don't even know what to call that!!!!
I will no longer be able to pay attention to the park...I will be trying to top you!
I've truely honed in on my PWS (people watching skills). I had a great one yesterday, but it took to long to get the camera outta my bag! Darn it. But I'll tell you about it. There was this woman at my nephews baseball game. I'm not kidding when I say her breasticles were the size of a 5 year olds head. SHe had a halter top, covering everything, but it was her walk that had me rolling. :rotfl: Poor thing looked like an upside down Weeble Wobble. Every step she took, she looked like she was trying to keep her balance! :lmao:

My kids only have my parents. My MIL died 11 months before Maddie was born. And my FIL went AWOL after he remarried, a year later. Now, that's a good story, but I'll save it for another time. :lmao:

Deb, how in the world did you find this??? Thanks for the backstory. I still think it's FREAKY!
WHAT!!!!!! Why do they keep getting hopes up for some measly beads and a bit of paper :confused3
Dude!! I know!!!

well you never know and Evan does like the blondes doesn't he!
Yes, yes he does. :teeth:

I've seen that guy on television before. He truly feels that he is a cat trapped in a human body. Whatever.
I'm sorry, but :rotfl2:

Awww, it looks and sounds like you guys had such a nice visit! :goodvibes
I was shocked that DH actually enjoyed hanging with Uma and GoofyforUM. They are seriously a fun, down to earth bunch.

And. About the cat woman. I consider myself a fairly hip gal - I've done my time in the punk rock scene and am generally supportive of alternative lifestyles. But. That's just plain BIZARRE. B I Z A R R E. She cares me more the Super Freaky Doll. TFI.
I'm fine with tattoos and piercings, but altering your face permanently, is just plain weird and stupid to boot. What if he has another dream and he's a horse? Then what? :lmao: I would love to have seen the TV piece on him.

I love, love the Matterhorn...I wish they would make one in WDW!
The Matterhorn is awesome. The theming is excellent, it's totally dated, but just classic Disney. I love it!

Okaaaay...that IS strange...I for one, will take my cats as cats and my people as people, but to each their own I guess...:confused3
ITA!

If I may weigh in on the Teppanyaki debate, I say pick Spoodles. Teppanyaki does not serve rice with its hibachi. Sacrilege! :sad2:
No rice???? WHT??? How am I supposed to get full?? :rotfl:

We ate there once a long time ago and made the mistake of trying to order fried rice. They looked at us like we were from another planet and said that they did not serve fried rice because it was not authentic Japanese. Um...HELLO? what exactly is authentic Japanese about Hibachi?
Funny you should say that. We totally had a conversation about the authenticity of Teppan cooking. Daisy's mother is from Okinawa, Japan and she cracks up how people really think Teppan is Japanese. Although, she makes THEE best fried rice, TFI. :thumbsup2

PS: Its a shame...we arrive on the 26th of August so we just miss the Lapu meet...unless of course I add an extra day...:rolleyes1
Well, I think you should add a day. Just sayin'.... :rolleyes1 That's what S'late is doing. She got a room only ressie for Saturday night, and then her free dining starts on Sunday. This way, you can rest on Saturday when you arrive and not worry about heading to a park and then just meet up with us and be ready to hit the parks bright and early on Sunday. :teeth:

Well said, S'late. :thumbsup2

That cat man is just scary. I think I would have grabbed my kids and ran the other way. My DH said he saw that guy on tv .. he wants to be a tiger or something. :confused3

It sounds like you and um really hit it off and had a great time. How exciting. I would love to try to make it to DL one day.

I can't wait to hear all about your trip. We will be there in Sept.

No rice???? WHT??? How am I supposed to get full?? :rotfl:

Ahhh...the importance of proofreading one's posts...my bad...I meant to type... no FRIED rice...hibachi just isn't the same without the fried stuff...that white rice just doesn't cut it...sorry...there is rice, just bland rice...

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I like this plan. I like this plan very, very much! :hippie:

my FIL went AWOL after he remarried, a year later. Now, that's a good story

Yeah? Sounds interesting....... popcorn::

but I'll save it for another time. :lmao:

;)

Deb, how in the world did you find this???

I just put "cat", "tattoo" and "face" into Google and there it was. Fortunately it's so rare there weren't many results. :lmao:

What if he has another dream and he's a horse?

or Michael Jackson? :scared: :rotfl:

DM-It sounds like you all had a wonderful time with UM! The pic of her DD and you DS hugging is so cute! Thanks for sharing!
 Scary cat guy----now that will give me nightmares. Can you imagine kissing that?:scared: :rotfl:

:scared1: Holy Catman, DL mama!!!!!

Great pics of your and Uma kids. I know I keep telling you this, but damn I love the DL park. I really need to make it back out there.

BEADS??? Don't they know who you are?

Do you want to borrow my dream fastpass? I'll share with another OCD planning spreadsheet lover.

Okay Trac...I did it! I bought your lover...TGM!!!

Quick ??---who is "they"???

Am I they? Are you they? Who is they?

pic1.jpg

DH was telling me she was with a group of people who were strangly dressed. One guy had a tail coming out of his clothing another was being referred to as "a naughty rat" :rotfl2: Alrighty, then. :confused3
WTH????!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
This very well may be the most disturbing thing I have ever seen.
At first I thought this was a joke, then read on the website about "it".

I am so jealous of your ability to take photos of the crazies. I always chicken out. My Dh however has no problem. Sometimes I give the camera to DS4 to do my dirty work. I mean who is going to get mad at a 4yr old??
Glad your meeting with Umama was good. I am jealous of all these meetings you are having.

This isn't a girl. It is a guy who tattooed his whole body and had his teeth chiseled by a dentist. He was on DiscoveryHealth or TLC. Those silver things in his upper lips, he can take those out and put whiskers in.

You were they, but now them are they and you are them. What once was them is now they. Ok?
