:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Have to stock up on all that beer for the chicken and the upcoming family reunion! May need to borrow your uncle's horse shoes--we just got the regular kind.

And then we eat the roast pig and fried chicken........Good times, good times:cloud9:

Oh....that little heartfelt post made me tear up....

Hope you have a great vacation!!

Tracy you are right on. Sometimes in life, we don't stop to think about the future without those we love. It is a part of life. As we remember that life is not forever, it reminds us to enjoy ourselves each and everyday. Stop and look at the positve parts of our life frustrations. Be it that Waldo may wander...he too is enjoying himself. You will have the memories of his wandering to laugh at for years to come. It is such a special gift to have family. Another special gift is to take time out our busy lives to fully enjoy that family on a vacation.

Although many trips of large numbers of people are hard to deal with...you are doing a great job planning one for so many people that mean very mcuh to you!

Not to sure about the TR thing this time around. I didnt really keep track of that much stuff and we did alot of the same things over and over and over and over again.. We let the kids dictate this time and didnt get to crazy about not sticking to the plan exactly as we were just there a few months ago and are going again in Oct.

Anywhooo, I am so glad that you get to enjoy these vacations to WDW with your family as the kids will never forget it. Family is a funny thing, cant live with them sometimes but certainly cant ever imagine life without them. So many people only realize that after its too late. SO glad you arent one of them.
You are a special person for that.

To join this party:banana:
I starting reading yesterday, read the first post and then went ot your previous report to learn the cast of characters (just following orders:hippie: ). Finished this up today. Your kids are adorable!

I completely understand about your DH not getting the Dis thing. Y DH continually tells me that you all are NOT real :confused3 I keep telling him there are worse addictions to have, but he just says I am in denial:rotfl:

I also understand your last thoughts about your parents. My dad will be 78 this year and my mom will be 71, and they live 1000 miles away (near the promised land) so I only get to really see them twice a year.

Can't wait to hear more about your planning, and to hear about the DIS meet. You are all hysterical and keep me entertained, when I am supposed to be working;)

If you need a Guinea pig for Teppanyucki than I say DON"T GO, fo-sho.:scared:
Oh really???? Why?? What happened??? Did you get to tour the World Showcase restrooms???

This made me tear up:sad1:
It really is hard seeing our parents get older. I am glad that you get to experience vacations with him and your children. Those are really priceless memories. I appreciate you writing TR's so we can all experience vacationing with your family.
Thanks for your kind words. I write this PTR, so you all can experience my crazy family and it kinda dilutes the insanity! :rotfl:
Well I do now :rotfl2: we're actually going to both so I can tell you my vote, S'Late is also going to Tep the same day as me, we're trying to get a big table for all of us :thumbsup2
Oh yeah, I probably should've asked you first, eh? Well, I hope you score that table so I can get the skinny on TeppanYUCKI! :lmao:

Same here but I like the way you ended for now :rotfl2:
You like that, eh? I always keep my optons open... you never know. :confused3

I'm still not taking my mother with me though!

One thing about Waldo.... he's given me some great stories to tell me grandkids!!! :rotfl: Everyday with him is like a freakin' sitcom! :happytv:

Welcome, jcc! :welcome: I noticed your ticker is similar to Jo's and mine. If you are in the world on the 25th, you should join us for a Lapu on the beach!:thumbsup2

I love the picture in your avatar!!!
Funny story: My DD5 birthday is 10/30. I really wanted her to be born on my fav. holiday, Halloween. Well, she missed it by 15 mins!! Yup she was born @ 11:45pm on the 30th. So, anyway, I dressed her up as a Giraffe when she was mearly 24 hours old and on her 1st Halloween, Disney didn't have the cute costumes for infants they have now, so I got her a velvet devils costume. SO, for her 2nd Halloween, I took her to the Disney Store to pick out her costume. I was so excited thinking she was going to be a pretty princess or an adorable pixie, right? Wrong!! She picked the Stitch 626 costume!!! :headache: I was so upset, as I wanted her to be something girly!!! Oh well!!! :sad2: She really did get alot of attention that year, though! :lmao:

Unfortunately we fly out of MCO on the 24th :sad2: or I'd be there for the party:dance3:

I thought of you today at Costco. They had 3 packs of tanks, some included lime green. I remembered you said you were on a search for a lime green tank. Not sure if you are a member and how the merchandise differs on your side of the country. They had some great color combos for layering. I picked up 2 packs myself.

And.....

I PAID MY TRIP OFF IN FULL!!!! :cool1: CAN I GET A WITNESS?? CAN I GIT A WHAT WHAT???? :woohoo:
WOW. WOW. Sorry, I'm stuck... WOW. My trip is over and I haven't paid it off. You GO Girl! :cool1:

V votes for pool time, so does Jo and LL.
What if, hypothetically, I changed my vote to a water park? Might anyone else be interested? Typhoon lagoon was soooo much fun!
Now I have no problem sitting in a lounge chair at my resort amongst perfect strangers. Who cares right? You're never going to see them again, so let it all out, right?
Know what? The same goes for good friends, too! :grouphug: And. I jsut saw a pic of me at the pool last week.... looking 6 months pregnant. And I'm still happy to meet you all in a swimsuit! :rotfl:
Have you ever chatted with someone on the boards or on the internet and you just click? Well, there you go.
Yep!!
Guess what came in the mail today??? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Ok, I suppose I'll spill..... my chocolate Mary Jane CROCS!!! :yay: I was sooo excited!! I pulled them outta the box and threw them on. I'm in heaven!!:cloud9: They are soooo comfy!! I've had them on most of the day whilst I ran errands today... Costco, Target, Home Depot.... and my little piggies are happy as clams!
Seriously, my MJ's were the most comfy shoe I wore all week, hands-down. :thumbsup2

ATTENTION: PRINCESSV

When you read this....and you will...know that we could have used your mad grammatical skills right about now!!

LY/MI!!!
Hmmm.... even I'm not sure about that one :confused3
So....

I had to make another call...

This time to Disney Dining.

Twice.

Since I used 3 different phone number to fanagle back up ADR's. :rolleyes1
That's my girl! :cool1:

Ok, so where was I...... ah, yes....our 9ish finalists (for now ;) ) are.....

Boatwrights, Crystal Palace, Rose & Crown, Garden Grill, Kona Cafe (girls night out), LeCellier, CRT, Mama Melrose, Boma, Coral Reef, Teppanyaki, & Spoodles.
Hey, what happened to H&V Play & Dine? It was YUMMY! And the character interaction was terrific :thumbsup2

I tell Waldo about our Super 40th Birthday Cruise/10 day WDW vacation planned for Aug/Sept. 2009. And he says something that actually made me sad and made me really think.... He said he hopes that he's around to go with us. Now that sentence really hit my heart hard. I got a big lump in my throat and my eyes welled up. I never, ever think about the day that my parents are no longer with me. I'm always making plans for the future, vacation plans, that is. I've got a European vacation (DLRP included, of course)planned with my parents for my 40th, which is thankfully not for 5 more years. What I didn't realise, is that in 5 years, my parents will be 77 and 78 years old. Alot can happen in those 5 years, as my parents age. It made me sad to think that, yes someday, we will go to WDW and Waldo won't be there. Who will we go in search of? Who will throw us off schedule and wreck havoc on the poor WDW CM's who don't realise they must speak in a louder tone so Waldo can hear them? :sad1: And so, I am happy that Waldo is going with us to WDW. I am happy that my children can sit on his lap and enjoy the sights and sounds of IASW. I am happy that we will be able to get frustrated when we lose Waldo and laugh when we find him. Truth be told. I am happy that we are going to experience these 10 days of magic together, as a family, even if it kills us and causes us to not speak to one another for 6 months after we return. Because, who knows when it will ever happen again?

 Well said, my friend, well said.

It's only because of the secret stash!! :rolleyes1

Seriously, my MJ's were the most comfy shoe I wore all week, hands-down. :thumbsup2

Excellent! Me thinks I'll be heading to shoebuys site and score me another pair in black, perhaps! :hippie:

Hey, what happened to H&V Play & Dine? It was YUMMY! And the character interaction was terrific :thumbsup2

It got bumped due to golf and chick/kiddos/pool/cocktail morning! BUT, I can't wait to read all about it. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge....:rolleyes1

So, I've been dying to get this installment up. It's sort of a mini-trip Dland report within my WDW pre-trip report.
So, anyway, Utahmama PM'd me last month to let me know she'd be down at Dland the week of May 6th and would I like to get together. Last time she was here, we did meet up for a croc drop, but didn't really have time to hang out and chat and what not. So, of course I PM'd her back saying Maddie and I would love to spend time with her and her DD2, Norah. We made plans to have lunch at Ariels Ghetto....errrr Grotto. Unfortunantly, Ariel's was booked, so we decided to just get together and do Princess Fantasy Faire and lunch at the Plaza.
Things changed again on Saturday, as she scored an earlier flight and came in on May 4th. DH had wanted to do Dland on Monday as a family and then Maddie and I would go back on Tuesday to hang with Norah and Uma. When I spoke to Uma, we decided to get together as families and all have lunch together.
Monday morning came and we got to the park at 9:30 am. I hoofed it to Cafe Orleans and could only get a table for 10 at 1:30pm. Kinda late for my kiddos as they're very used to 12pm lunch. I called Uma and they weren't in the park yet, but would call as soon as they arrived.
DH and I spent the morning with our kids doing all our favorite rides; Matterhorn, Mad tea party, Pooh and POTC. Like clockwork, noon rolled around and the kids started whining about lunch. We ended up having lunch at The French Market, located next to HM. We sat and started to eat lunch, but I really felt guilty for eating, knowing we were supposed to lunch with the Utahmama family. They have a band and singer in the outdoor dining area. I didn't notice they were doing a special song, until they announced, that we were chosen as the special family of the year. I got so excited. I'm in this park at least 3 times a month, and have yet to win a dream of any kind. So, I'm thinking "Whoooo hooooo!!! :woohoo: We're gonna get something good!! A stay in Mickey's Penthouse? A DVC membership?? What is it??? What did we win???? The nice singer announces "You are our family of the day and here is your special prize......" Next 2 guys come out with golden paper crowns and plastic Mardi Gras bead. WTH??? That's it??? I could hear that song from the old game show... Bwah bwah bwah bwahhhhhh! D'oh! :headache: Yes, our prize was some measley bead and crowns. Oh man, what a buzz kill!
Anyway, just as we start to eat, Uma calls and says they're in the park. Like a schmuck I have to tell her that we've already eaten BUT we'd still love to join them for lunch and just have some dessert. She is so sweet and agrees to meet at 1:30.
We finish lunch and head out into the park for somemore rides before meeting Uma. Maddie wants to do the Jr. Chef program where they bake cookies. We drop her there and cop a squat under some trees, when we notice something very strange. There's this girl sitting on the other side of the tree with her face surgically altered to look like a cat. I'm not kidding. She had cheek implants and upper lip implants. She had her entire face tatooed just like a cat. It was sooo strange, that Dh had to take her photo.
pic1.jpg

DH was telling me she was with a group of people who were strangly dressed. One guy had a tail coming out of his clothing another was being referred to as "a naughty rat" :rotfl2: Alrighty, then. :confused3
After our strange encounter, we headed to meet Uma and her Utah family. It was just like seeing old friends. Her DH is a really nice guy, very friendly, talkative, just an all around nice person. Uma is really something, though. She just emits this aura about her. I noticed how people gravitated toward her. She is genuinely sweet and funny and just makes you feel like you're an old friend. :cloud9: I really loved chatting with her. My daughter was completely enchanted with Uma. She talked non-stop about her all the way home. Uma even scored a coveted invitation to Maddie's birthday party. Which, by the way, isn't until October. But that's how Maddie measures her love for people. If she really loves you, you get invited to her party.
After lunch, we sent the big boys and DH's on Indiana Jones and then we commandeered the Jungle Cruise together and with the little ones and had a loverly conversation. Our kids really hit it off and Evan was completely enchanted with Norah. We took photos of them hugging, because, you never know, they may grow up and marry someday! :lmao:

Our happy day ended with "good-byes" for now, as I am sure we will meet up with the Utah family again!:cloud9:

My hope is that my people watching skills will come back with a photo freakier than you have...that is truly my wish!

1st...there was flower head lady.
2nd...I don't even know what to call that!!!!

I will no longer be able to pay attention to the park...I will be trying to top you!
