Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

Today in the wonderful place of Disneyland, The Enabler learned Fuzzy Disney Math (FDM). When I renewed The Enablers AP, a cute little coupon showed up with the new AP giving the holder of said coupon 20% off their next purchase over $50. Before FDM, The Enabler would have never spent $50, therefore 20% off would not be necessary. That was before.... before we went to WDW, before she became an AP holder, before I started DIS-ing, before, before, before.
The Enabler decides she needs a new Disneyland shirt for our "up coming" trip in AUGUST! And since I had been so sweet to her, throwing her a birthday party, taking her to DLand for lunch on her actual B-day, she would like to buy me a shirt as well. Sweeeeet, I scored a super cute vintage tee. Very cute, but BLACK??? What was I thinking? Can't wear BLACK to WDW, I'll cook. Awww.... but I can wear it at night, no sun!:cool1: Sorry, off topic!
Anyway, The Enabler thanks me for choosing a shirt that put her over her $50 requirement, thus saving her 20%. Huh? Fuzzy Disney Math. :rotfl2:

Ahhh.... I just love Fuzzy Disney Math! That's what gets me into trouble every time! 'But, hunnnnny! We get 20% off with the Disney Dining Experience card.... and we get the Annual Pass discount at World of Disney.... hunnnnny! If we squeeze in another trip this year before the end of October, we can still use our AP's and DDE card!!!' And so on... Too bad you have to spend money to get those discounts! :lmao: Glad you scored a cute shirt! :thumbsup2

Michelle,
In my house this is called "maximizing utility". I'm just happy I'm married to an accountant who sees it this way. That's why we're going again in April! He can tell you now how much we spent per visit on those APs! The more we go, the less we spend per visit:)

How is everyone this fine morning?

Tracy, how rude of me to not notice yesterday's entry in the continuing saga of your pre-TR. But you forgot one very important band who's records were played every 3 min. on KROQ - The Cure! With classics such as Boys Don't Cry, Love Cats, Just Like Heaven (or Just Like Kevin like my son used to say), and Love Song among many others, how could you forget?:rockband: They're my fav from that decade.:thumbsup2

Yup, I'll be enjoying that row 13.:rolleyes1 Early bird gets the worm as they say. Oh, and thanks for the free advertising for my TR!:goodvibes

I love that The Enabler has learned the FDM ways. I'm slowly turning her to the green side. In fact, she's been shopping for our upcoming AUGUST trip and she's been purchasing alot of LIME. Bwhahaha!! Score one for the green team, baby!!:thumbsup2

Don't worry, Jo. You won't be left out. I'm going to personally hand off Waldo to you and yours at Animal Kingdom on 8/23. Bwhahahaha!!
Cause CARING IS SHARING!:rotfl:

Hi Lisa!
Oh but of course THe Cure is my all time fav. I found some KROQ iMixes on the iTunes store and DH downloaded all my 80's music from there. It sure takes me back to the day......
Oh, BTW, the jury is still out on the GG. Everyone wants to do it, but because of their friggin' budgets, we have to decide on the GG or CRT, not both. Going with budget conscience people, sucks.:sad2: I suppose, DH and our kids could ditch them... :rotfl:

Great update DM!

I am loving your Waldoisms!:lmao: I look forward to reading more!

Disneyland Mama, I just found your pre-trippie, sounds like its going to be a great trip!!

Girl I know how you feel with the airfare. I started watching rates in June for our Jan/February trip. I ended up getting ours 3 weeks before our trip outbound on Delta and return on United for $214!!!!!

Our trip was great!!!!! Even though I had some psycho lady assault me in the Magic Kingdom. Trip was awesome. We had a pretty good time at MHTreat, but an even better time at the Pirate & princess Party was fantastic. Yes I am busy planning our next trip for the same time of year next year doing this one solo with the kids this time. It is soooo addictive, I am already thinking about going ahead and doing 09. So are you going on the cruise in 08??

No worries, I know how it is. This extended family trip has become a bit complicated so I can definitely relate. I say let's leave 'em all behind just us Lapu Lapu girls can go. Just kidding, I'd never do such a thing? Or would I?;) Ah, it'll all work out in the end for both of us and we'll have wonderful memories to last a lifetime!

Hi Jo, I'm here, I'm here! It's been crazy today at work so I was finally able to take a few minutes to do a litte DISing. Wonder where the rest of the gang is?:confused3

It's always the case that I'm about to go to bed and in the morning I have tons of posts to catch up on.

Just joined in here! Great report. We have a Waldo in our family too.

Fuzzy Disney Math.... I apply the same principles at Wally World. I come home and tell DH "But it was on sale! i saves money." Yes. It somehow justifies spending that money you would not have spent were it not for the sale.

I'm feeling very lonely today where are you all????? :rolleyes1
I just got home from Dland. I had to pick up the CROC from Motherofafae. Man, it was packed today!! Monday it was almost empty. I'm so glad we have passes. I picked up Maddie from school and told I her I had a surprise for her. As we exited the freeway, she asked "Are we going to Disneyland?" I laughed and told her yes and said she could choose where we had lunch. Of course she chose the Plaza. It was very crowded, so we grabbed some FPs for Buzz and headed to the Plaza. We had a nice, quiet lunch (No Evan, that's why it was quiet) and then stopped by to say "Hi" to my nephew at the Bakery. On the way to Buzz, we hit the candy store and got some provisions for the weekend. We left after Buzz, 2 hours after we entered. It was nice to be alone with my first born. :cloud9:
Did I just pull a Lauralee? You know, a mini-trip report within a pre-trip report? :lmao:

Welcome photo chick. :goodvibes
This morning The Enabler applied FDM at the mall. She's getting really good, it's almost scary! :scared:

Tracy,
I completely understand about the passes. It seems to take so much of the pressure off the visit. And how nice to be able to go in for lunch, Buzz and some candy and be on your way back home. We are still looking to go sometime this summer...probably August, so I'll be picking your brain for info!

Ohhh... I'd love to help you! As you can see, I'm a planner. :rotfl:
Just a quickie, I promise.
You will need a good plan for Aug. Just as TGM would say... start EARLY. Collect as many FP's as possible for use later in the day. You should be able to walk on alot of rides if you're early. Leave the park in the early afternoon and return later to use your FP's. Try to avoid Fridays, as alot of locals hit the park on that day. Do try the DTD restaurants, they are WAY better than the park places and cheaper too.

I forgot to mention, I rode over the new Nemo ride, whilst taking the Monorail into Dland. It looks AWESOME! :thumbsup2: Very colorful and I love what they did to the submarines. The lagoon is filled with water and the subs are sitting in the water being programmed, I guess. I cannot wait for that ride!

I sure hope it is better than the Nemo ride at Epcot I know they are completely different types of rides, but man that Nemo ride at Epcot boy I wouldve been pissed to wait 20 minutes for that..

We are only going to be there for a weekend:mad: We will be in San Diego for about 3 weeks, but plan to go to Anaheim for a couple of days. I've been before, but I was a teenager (I love Morrissey, too;) ) so it was a long time ago. I think we'll only do one day in Disneyland and one in CA. I wish we had longer, but DH is out there on business and we're tagging along.

Bring on the heat and the crowds!
