Why it's all in the details, right? I know how much you all love the details, so here we go!
Let's start with our FDM equation: 16 days - weekends, holidays, birthdays, today and travel day ='s (wait, does the birthday have to one of the travelers, because my DNeph's birthday is next Thursday

) Ok so let's see.... that puts us at 9 days!!! Well, we won't count tomorrow, since technically it is Monday, in the UK, where Jo is and since she's apart of this trip report, then we won't count it, since we're not supposed to count today, which is Sunday, but we're pretending it's Monday. KWIM?
I started getting the kids backpacks aka Entertainment Packs ready this weekend. I realized that we still don't have a portable DVD player since the one we did have took a digger and has since been discarded. I started shopping around on the internet and found one that rated pretty high on
Amazon. I ordered today only to find out with free shippping it won't arrive until 8/22. Uhhhh.... yeah that won't work for me. I had to pay for shipping, something I dispise doing in order to get it in time for travel. I should have done this weeks ago.

Ok, with that task completed, I hit the back packs again and found lots of goodies for Maddie. I've been buying little things here and there to store in her pack for the 5 hour flight. Besides her Gameboy, I found lots of little activities for her pass time.
She loves stickers and coloring and stuff like that, so she'll be ok. Now Evan, he's a whole other problem. The DVD player will keep him occupied for at least 1 movie, then we're in trouble. I do plan on giving him some night-night juice and since he'll have to be up at 4:30 am, my hopes are for a sleeping child for at least 2 of the 5 hours.

One of Andy's aunt's bought Maddie this cute little Princess Notebook/Pen set for Christmas and I forgot I had put it away for her use as an Autograph Book. I found it when I was cleaning out our travel stuff drawer and personalized it a bit. I thought I'd tie some cute ribbons to the spiral edge to jazz it up a bit.
I also hit the Dollar Tree again, still looking for the Disney sunblock and suction cups, but haven't been lucky there. Oh well.

I did find an over the door organizer and a mini dish soap container. I'll be needing that as I do still carry sippy cups for Evan for his water and milk and I'll need to clean them in the hotel room. I just don't trust that kid with a water bottle or a straw. How does a straw instantly become a weapon? And why is the water bottle more fun to dump out that to drink?

So now my "just in case" suitcase is pretty much complete. I think the only thing I need is a pack of Pull-Ups for Evan.
I've been reading here on another trip report how a certain Mama has some elevator shoes for her daughter to get her over the 40 inch mark. Allegedly.

Well, I can't very well throw some wedgie heels on my son and call it a day, now can I? Well, how about if I put some foam lifts in his socks? To wear with his Van or his
crocs? Allegedly.

Like this:
Now I ask you.... is this the same as putting wedge heels on a female child?

I'm just curious. That's all. Allegedly.
Hmmmm... lookie here, Evan reaches the goal height.
I've got to make a run over to
Disneyland soon as I'm in need of those clear pouches that hang on the Lanyards. They're only $4 here, and I think I read somewhere else that they're $6 in WDW. Well, if I have to buy 6 of them, I'd rather pay $24 than $36. Besides, then I'll get to ride the Nemo subs again.
HAIR UPDATE:
So my fake hair is holding up pretty well. Except for the color. I've been in the sun and the pool and they're fading.... they're fading fast. I'm too blonde now. What to do, what to do? TE has a hair appt. on Thursday with my cousin, so I might ask my cousin if she's up for the challenge of coloring my extensions without coloring my hair and then coloring my hair without coloring my extensions, KWIM? It's all so complicated. Oh and now I have to go out and buy a new flat iron as my old one is about to take a crap. I'm thinking of trying the IMO CHI from Sally's as recommended by V. I'm not feeling the $150 price tag of the real deal at this point. Gotta keep my clams in line for the trip.
Waldo was looking over the menu's for all our ADR's. I printed them all out and put them in "The Notebook" for everyone to view. Well, I'm getting a little worried about the ADR I made for them whilst I'm out with my gal pals at Kona. I booked the The Garden Grill. I thought it would be a fun character meal to help keep the kids occupied, since I won't be there. Well, I'm just not feeling the menu anymore. I jumped on the phone with Dining 15 minutes before they closed today. I tried everywhere for a party of 5. Chef Mickey's? No. Concourse Steakhouse? No. Liberty Tree Tavern? No. They're pretty much stuck at The Garden Grill. I will try to find them something else when we get there, maybe someone will cancel. No ADR's for you!

I guess Dining has put a lid on my ADR shuffle once and for all!
At dinner tonight, we were all talking about packing. Waldo was boasting about how everything he needs fits perfectly in his little teeny tiny suitcase. I swear he's like Felix the Cat.

Well, he asks Andy how many pair of shorts he's bringing. Andy says he's bring around 7 pairs. Well, Waldo had only planned to bring about 4 pairs. No wonder he can bring such a little case!

He's going to be spending most of his free time doing laundry!
