Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

Tracy,
The kids look so cute with their Great-Waldo. I think it's wonderful that you have him around to tell his stories. Does he wander off as well? I really admire your family for it's close ties.

I'm glad you got onto the Nemo ride. The wait sounds like it was taxing, but at least you had people to watch:eek: Got to go get myself a pair of glitter pants! And isn't it wonderful how Mattie can make friends anywhere? Got to love kids and how they can do that!

LL,
THANK YOU for asking! I am doing okay. Yes, DH is up in DC...left June 3 and will be home Oct 19. :sad1:

It is terrible about the firefighters. It's strange to have a community rocked like this. Tomorrow is a day of mourning for the area (as if we haven't been doing that already.) It was a terrible tragedy.

Thanks again for checking in:goodvibes

Hi Tracy-

I've caught myself up. I am most happy that you got the who transportation to the Port of Air travel all situated. I agree that lowest price is not always best, great service is worth the extra costs in gold.

On your check list you listed resort confirmed, but you were not happy. Did I miss something? I thought you were looking forward to POFQ? No?

I love the new stroller purchase. I can't wait to hear how it works out for the parks.

And you lucky duck! You got to ride the Sub's. I can't wait to hit DL someday again and check them out...and ride my childhood favorite...The Materhorn again too.

I'm not going lie, I was skeptical about the Nemo ride, but after watching it and hearing you sing its praises, I think it sounds like so much fun! I'll have to check that out for sure when I go to DL next time!

Love the update...OMG and the winner is.......spandex lady:lmao:
glad Nemo was fun looking fwd to see the new Nemo in Epcot hope we can get out to DL in the future looks great!!
Can you tell I have fun people watching? :goodvibes Again, Nemo Subs are a must do.
Unholstered girls!! :rotfl2:
:teeth:
So how do you sit in the sub? Are there seats all with a window view or something?
Here's a look at the inside of the sub. Very cool!

Hey! There are 3 responses to quotes that had my name in it but I never posted those quotes! Did you retype everyone's names? I guess you were just had me on your mind....
I'm sorry DM! I copied and pasted your name by accident. Must have DM on my mind! ;)
Wow video was great. so do they project the nemo "cast" into/onto the glass/water and it just moves along as you do?
Thats how its done in WDW except no cool submarines just a clam-mobile.
Thanks so much:thumbsup2
That's exactly how they do it. I don't know if its the fact your surrounded by water that makes the effect so cool, or what. I'm looking forward to the clam-mobile version, though. Gotta do comparisons, ya know! :thumbsup2

Don't they? I love the fact that they love Great Grandpa so much and he's nothing like he used to be. He was the best when we were young. I've got millions of stories to cherish forever.
Psst.... here's a little secret. We're only close with our inner circle of family. Every other branch is full of crazies!! OMG! I just had a thought, what if we're the crazies and everyone else is normal?!?! :lmao:

And isn't it wonderful how Mattie can make friends anywhere? Got to love kids and how they can do that!
I love that kids are so open to new friendships. They don't care what they look like, what they're wearing.. it's very sweet.
Hi Tracy-
I've caught myself up.
Hi Jen! I hope you're doing OK! Great to see on the boards!

No, I was just hoping for an upgrade. I'm being a resort snob, I know. :snooty: I really wanted to do a deluxe, but looks like everyone else is happy with a mod. Guess I'll have to deluxe in May. :rolleyes1

It's so fun, Heather. Maybe I'm a dork, but I really loved it!

Don't get too excited about the clammobiles.

Say, how far back to I need to go to find your ADR's?

Ummm....I wouldn't compare to the clam-mobile's...:sad2: You'll just be disappointed. We like the ride, but would definitely prefer your ride to ours, I'm sure. But I don't know WHY you guys got the subs and we didn't...

Ah...that is one of life's burning questions, isn't it? I like to think that we put the FUN into DysFUNction!!:lmao:

I know, I showed her Michaels picture so she could see he wears glasses, too! :goodvibes BTW, where did you find the sunglasses clip for kids glasses?
But I don't know WHY you guys got the subs and we didn't...
'Cause we're super cool! :smooth: :lmao:

I prefer to put the "FUNK" into dysfunctional! :woohoo:

They are neat seats on the subs! BTW Jess wears glasses too but only for school work, TV etc at the moment, loads of kids need to these days and Ellie who doesn't need them went through a stage of wanting them  :rotfl2:

...Ellie who doesn't need them went through a stage of wanting them  :rotfl2:

I always wanted them when I was in grade school. She's not weird! (Or, maybe, it's more likely that we both are...) I still only need them for reading, but I like mine. :)

Maddie only needs them for the same, school, TV, reading. BUT, she insists on using them all the time right now. :confused3 She's had them about 2 weeks, so I'm just waiting for the novelty to wear off a bit.
My DNiece, Claire came over and saw Maddie's glasses and she was so jealous. She wants to wear them too! :confused3 Silly kids!

Whew.....I DID IT !!! It only took me 4 hours, but I am FINALLY through all 83 pages of your PTR !!!!! :faint: I need a nap now :upsidedow

I have to say, your PTR is absoulufantabulous :thumbsup2 Keep it comin'......popcorn::

Didn't the ride 20,000 Leagues under the Sea have the same kind of sub? I was in WDW back in 1976 and may have been on that ride.

Hi T!

You know I had to change the ticker when I saw the LIME plane and LIME luggage! :lmao:

Things have been quiet. I do have another installment brewing soonish.... stay tuned. ;)

Kind of off topic...:offtopic: But kind of not....

Are lapus just a Disney creation? I'm going to Vegas in August and I was thinking if anywhere else would have them, it would be Vegas... Just wondering if you've ever seen them anywhere else.

What's the word limit on a post? This is a BIG multi-quote!
We make in to the parking lot in 5 minutes, park the car, pull out Evan's stroller, buckle Evan in and *poof*! It happens. Evan and Waldo are gone. Man that was record time. I have Andy race down the parking lot, because we are not heading the same way as the rest of the salmon. :fish: We're not going to the park tram, we have to walk across the street to the hotel. For some reason Waldo thought we were eating at the Grand Californian. You know why he thought that? I'll tell you why. Because he doesn't listen!

We make it to Goofy's Kitchen and we check in and pay. The CM tells us we will be seated in 10 minutes. Everyone else takes a seat in the holding pen and I go park the stroller. I come back and this is what I see. Do you see what is wrong with this picture?

tracysdisneypics66001.jpg

Yup, I count heads, 1, 2, 3, 4, ..... I ask Andy, "Where's Waldo??" Andy looks around and gives me the :confused3 . Count 'em. Ok, we've been out of the car for 15 minutes and we've lost Waldo 2 times!! :faint: It's gonna be a long day!
[/B]

Why do we find Waldo stories so entertaining. I laugh at all his antics but I know that if I were you I would have such anxiety with chest pains that I couldn't function!

We finished up our yummy brunch, take a potty break and head to the DTD monorail. I give the CM my pass and she wishes me a Happy Birthday! Cool!

I didn't know they could associate your b-day with your pass. Very cool!

Me and Waldo (Here's the cowboy hat I bought, what do you think? Keep it or toss it?)
tracysdisneypics66009.jpg

You really make the hat. It's a keeper!

As we pull into the station, we notice the new Nemo ride is up and the subs are running! We head down the stairs and notice the sign says something like "Annual Passholders Preview". Super sweet!! We head over to the almost non-existant line and are stopped. Dead in our tracks. You need a special ticket that you win from an online contest. Rats!

Where was that contest at? If they are having annual pass holder contests you need to figure out how to enter!

I know what I'm thinking, when all of a sudden Andy bursts out in laughter, followed by Waldo. I know EXACTLY what they are laughing at. Anyone else?
peaches.jpg

:lmao: :lmao:

I have no idea what you're talking about! :rolleyes1

We're queuing up at the FP entrance, you know so the CM can check you FP return time and this family just breezes by everyone. :sad2: Little do they know that they check your FP's right before you get on the ride. Well, you guessed it, they didn't have FP's. Andy and I start snickering and the family is sent back out the exit and told no FP, no FP line. I love when cheaters get caught! :snooty:

I love that too! They should have gotten kicked out of the park! ;) :rotfl:

TE and I mosey on to the exit, stopping at a gift shop near the rapids ride and guess what they're selling? Disney jibbitz!!! :woohoo: I grab 2 Princesses for Maddie and the Mickey glove for me and a Mickey Mouse for Evan. The also have the castle, but I didn't buy it. Which I now find out was dumb, as they only sell those in the park.

I didn't know the castle was only available at the parks! Both of the kids chose to get that one. DD needed a new Sleeping Beauty and we didn't make it back to any Jibbitz after I realized. I don't feel like ordering them right now so she's just walking around with Sleeping Beauty's torso on her shoe. :rotfl:

We're all ready to leave, when we decide to get some Mr. Potato Head pieces, for the bargain price of $18.95. Now the rule is the box had to "close". It doesn't say, perfectly. So I stuff that thing very strategically. And I keep stuffing until the thing is about to burst, but I get it closed and that's all that matters, right? :thumbsup2 We get the Mickey cloths, Tinkerbell clothes, princess clothes and pirate clothes. :woohoo:

We got the Tinkerbell hair but they didn't have the shoes! The CM that helped me with one box (we got two) only got one side to close and said that it was alright.

One more thing: Maddie had to see the eye doctor this week. Apparently she takes after her parents and their shot vision. She's got astigmatism (sp?) in both eyes and is now the proud owner of Pink Ariel Disney Princess glasses. :goodvibes
maddiepanties001.jpg

The down side, is she loves to wear sunglasses and now I have to find those snap on sunglasses for her regular glasses. Anyone know where?

DH and I both have astigmatisms. I also have hystoplasmosis (something to do with an infection from bird poop since I played in a loft a bunch as a kid). DS was so excited to get glasses when he was six. He was disappointed that he didn't get them when he was five. I got his clip-ons at Wal-Mart. I had to go to two Wal-Marts to find the right size though. It was the smallest size that they made. DD wants the Princess glasses but I hope she doesn't need any for at least a couple more years.

So after standing firm as to my salary requirements, here I am employed at the pay I asked for all because of the way you titled your pre-TR. So, my next thread will be titled something like IRS Forms. Hehe

I love that! I was thinking you were going to get in trouble for having the screen up and instead it made you look like a good employee! I've got to remember that when naming my TR.

I remembered the quote I received from the shuttle service didn't include the costs of carseat rentals and since we are not using carseats on the plane, I would need the shuttle service to provide them. Well, it's a good thing I called the shuttle service back. They do not provide carseat rentals and will not store your carseats for your return trip. Well, I'm not lugging 2 carseats around LAX just to save $20. Yup. 20 bucks. That's the difference in limo v. shuttle rates. So, the shuttle is out. The limo is back in. Now which limo?

We had to pay $49 to get a booster seat from Alamo in Orlando. I would have lugged our stinking booster seat around the airport and gate checked the thing if I had known it would be that much! We could have bought one at Wal-Mart for $15 but they wouldn't give us the car without paying for a booster since DD is four and Florida law says Five and under.

saffronvolo.jpg

She wanted the Salmon one, but since Evan will get it when his red Mac Triump hits the dirt, we opted for a gender neutral color. :thumbsup2 Ok, so stroller situation is handled.

That is our stroller! Only we have the salmon one. DD liked a hot pink one that they had at Babies R Us when we bought ours but it was the previous years version and I thought it was so dark it would be hotter for her to ride in. I ordered the salmon one from the Target website and when we got it she hated it. She complained about it all through our trip last year. She said that it wasn't pink! Then, we stayed late at Epcot one night and DS was really dragging so DH picked up DD and told DS to get in the stroller (he was barely at the weight limit for it). He refused to get in it because he said it was pink! We ended up making him get in it since he was so tired and having trouble walking but the pink argument was driving me crazy!

Not me, my older brother. We just tag along with him and pretend we're high society. One time, we were walking down the hall before we boarded the jet and this lady with a puppy in her arms walked right by us and said "Hello". My mom said Hi back and I just  . You know who it was? Oprah! :lmao:

OMG! That is so cool!

We hit CVS this afternoon and I got my emergency bag all stocked up. You know the usual stuff: Advil, childrens Motrin, Claratin, tums, Neosporin, bandaids, Bengay, etc. I tell you, last year we used the Bengay after our nightly showers for our legs and it was wonderful! I do recommend the oderless one, though.

That's a good idea. We wore our Crocs and our feet hurt so bad that I can't even remember if my legs hurt!

The 120 minutes came fast (actually it ended up being closer to 135 mins) and we were on our way into the big blue. I have video, but youtube is taking superlong to upload it. I'll try to add it tomorrow. Let's just say I was super impressed. It was just such an incredible experience, I can't even explain. I was just as giddy and goofy and the 2 girls were! We all laughed when it was over and agreed it was worth the wait!

When we were exiting the ride, the CM's were telling people the wait was 4-4

I'm glad you got to ride it. I liked the one at Epcot but yours sounds way cooler. Four hours! I didn't even think lines could get that long!
