Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

I am enjoying your pre-trip report Disney_Mama. I have read approximately every single page of messages since I discovered it about two weeks ago.
:welcome: Kenya! We're happy to have you join the bunch! :goodvibes

Just a word of warning about the Bengay. There was a story in the local newspaper and on the news here where I live on Long Island about a young girl, 16, who used a type of muscle/pain relief cream similar to Bengay, excessively and she died from an ingredient in the cream. She didn't die instantly but over a period of time from using the creams excessively, it slowly poisoned her body and it took a while for them to figure out that she died from over using the creams. So please be careful about using the Bengay everyday. God Bless you and Jesus loves you!
:scared: Yickes!!! Thank you, I will keep this in mind. Although, we do only use it in the world and not on a regular basis.

It's about time...just sayin':rolleyes1
:teeth:
I've been dying to get an iPod...I should just go do it and stop waiting for Tony to get it for me as a gift sometime...:rolleyes1
They've got a great deal on them at Costco. I know what you mean, I bought one for myself for Christmas and wrapped it up and thanked Andy. :lmao:

:headache: OH MAN...You have done such a great job with the money...you should just do it and not tell anyone or tell them it's YOUR free upgrade...:rolleyes1
Yeah, BUT I'm not shelling out the $500 for everyone else! :sad2:

I wake up to the crack of stupid EVERY morning. Although sometimes he's facing the other way....:rolleyes1

:rotfl2: You're a bad girl! :rotfl2:

I totally agree with you here. I'll pay a little more for great customer service! Glad you have your limo booked! :goodvibes

Glad the limo problem has been solved.

Stay tuned, you two! :rolleyes1
We got DH one of those HUGE bubble hockey games(the ones with all the sticks to push/pull/twist. I had no idea that they were so BIG and I have to have it delivered so all DH got was a photo of it yesterday(ooops) I need to be a better planner. He was very excited though as he has wanted one for a bit now.
Wow!!! I bet you got serious brownie points for that one, eh? ;)

Hope DLAND was good today for Nemo, cant wait to hear all about it.

I am so jealous that you can head off to DL at a whim............
Can't wait to hear about the new Nemo Subs!!!!!!!!!!

Coming up....... popcorn::

First things first. I'm going to brag a little. I'm posting a picture I took yesterday of my 96 year old Grandfather. This is Waldo's dad with Maddie and Evan. He's still spry as can be and funny as ever. I have memories of him taking us to Disneyland when I was 7 yrs old. He must have been around 68 and still riding everything. He's a roller coaster hound! :goodvibes He's our family's original Disneyland lover!

Our Nemo Adventures:

Well, we did it. We rode the Nemo Submarine ride. It was fantastic! Worth the wait, for sure! :thumbsup2
We woke up bright and early and got to the park at 8:30 am. I thought the park opened at 9 am and we'd be one of the first in line, right? WRONG! The park opened at 8 am! :sad2: I had a plan devised to split up 1 adult and 1 kid. I gave Andy specific instructions on which way to run to get to the end of the line. Going thru Tomorrowland is not the fastest way, TFI. So, we split up. I'm hoofing it down Main Street with Evan in his stroller, passing all the slow pokes. Man, my power walking has really paid off. I get to the subs, only to find this:

Nemoday002.jpg

Holy carp! I find the end of the line and jump in and call Andy. He's not even close. :rotfl: Haha! I beat him! We meet up and I show him the wait time posted: 120 mins. We decide to just go for it. It's our last visit to Dland until Sept. and we really only came to ride Nemo and then hit ESPN for lunch. We get in line and Maddie instantly makes friends with the little girl infront of us and her mother. While Andy and Evan hit Matterhorn, I chit chatted with the mother and the girls perused the little Nemo pamphlet the CM's were handing out. Here's Maddie and her new friend Emily:
Nemoday007.jpg

The 120 minutes came fast (actually it ended up being closer to 135 mins) and we were on our way into the big blue. I have video, but youtube is taking superlong to upload it. I'll try to add it tomorrow. Let's just say I was super impressed. It was just such an incredible experience, I can't even explain. I was just as giddy and goofy and the 2 girls were! We all laughed when it was over and agreed it was worth the wait!

When we were exiting the ride, the CM's were telling people the wait was 4-4 1/2 hours!! :scared: Here's some lagoon shots:
Nemoday006.jpg

Nemoday010.jpg

These seagulls do the infamous "Mine, mine, mine" line from the movie. :lmao:
Nemoday008.jpg

Oh, and the Monorail got a new look just for the ride opening!
Nemoday005.jpg

Ok, and now it's time to play "Super sleuth photography with Disneyland Mama" popcorn::

Winner #1: Our own J Lo. wannabe. I couldn't figure what she statement she was trying to make. So scary and sad at the same time. Hey, sister this is a family park, not a night club. You can't tell in the photo, but these spandex pants were all a glitter, baby! :confused3

Nemoday003.jpg

Winner #2: The hair struck me as a little odd. Maybe she was going for the "I just got out of bed" look or "My cat is hiding in my hair" :confused3 She did have a lime green star tatoo on her neck. So I tried to get a shot of that, but she moved! Darn! I think I'm just getting old, as the clothes and hair styles these days sure throw me off. I think I'm losing my cool. :cool2:

Nemoday004.jpg

One thing I did notice was.... get ready for this.... braless women! OMG! There were unholstered "girls" every where! Don't these women look in the mirror before they leave their house/hotel rooms??? It was gross, because most of those "girls" were pointing south, KWIM? :scared: Anyway, I deemed those "What not to wear contenders" inappropriate and of course didn't photograph them. Consider this a PSA, people: If the girls are pointing south, please, please, pleeeeeease wear a bra. Or 2 shirts or bandaids or pasties for goodness sakes!

UPNEXT: Evan goes LIME and my smart little purchase.

Wow! Nemo looks so awesome!! I can't wait to try it out!:thumbsup2

Your grandpa is so cute! He looks GOOD for 96!

Thanks for the what NOT to wear at the parks....wow, glittery spandex pants w/ a fanny pack and a tank top tucked in. Classic!:lmao:

All righty...caught up after our trip!

Loooooove the granny panties...I laughed so hard at that!

Loooooove the new Nemo ride...those seagulls are outside the Nemo at Epcot...definitely hit that up and the new Nemo musical. It was fantastic!

And...just you wait...Tera and I have a great people watchin' photo for you...we think we topped your scrunchie lady!

First things first. I'm going to brag a little. I'm posting a picture I took yesterday of my 96 year old Grandfather.
He looks great, my nan is 87 and Grandad 86 and both going strong :goodvibes

He's not even close. :rotfl: Haha! I beat him!
:woohoo:

It's our last visit to Dland until Sept.
 You don't go again? Is it too hot or too busy or something?

Let's just say I was super impressed. It was just such an incredible experience, I can't even explain.
Well worth the wait then :thumbsup2

Winner #1: Our own J Lo. wannabe.
:rotfl2: She must have been so hot too in those skin tight trousers :rotfl2:

Winner #2: The hair struck me as a little odd. Maybe she was going for the "I just got out of bed" look or "My cat is hiding in my hair" :confused3
 That's just horrid

One thing I did notice was.... get ready for this.... braless women! OMG!
David says the same over here the first sign of sun and the bra's come off, I want to know how it it he notices so quickly :rotfl2:

Ummm better make sure I'm groomed and dressed correctly when T's around, don't want to be on here :rotfl:

Awesome!! Something to be very proud of. My great-grandma lived until 90 and she was still dancing around up until a month or so before she passed.

Nemoday002.jpg

Holy carp!
Holy carp is right. I would not have braved it. When Splash Mt opened in DL way back when and we went, the line posted was over 2 hours so we ended up skipping it...
Winner #2: The hair struck me as a little odd. Maybe she was going for the "I just got out of bed" look or "My cat is hiding in my hair" :confused3 She did have a lime green star tatoo on her neck. I actually like this style hair, but it is supposed to be neater in the back. I wanted this cut last time I went to my stylist and all I ended up with was short. :sad1: I haven't been back since December trying to grow it out...

Consider this a PSA, people. If the girls are pointing south, please, please, pleeeeeease wear a bra. Or 2 shirts or bandaids or pasties for goodness sakes!
Good thing mine are pointing east and west! :rotfl2:

Hey T,
OMG Grandpa looks just like Waldo(but older)!!
God Bless him. It must be great to have him around with the kids. Not many kids get to have memories of great-grandparents. That so great.:goodvibes

The nemo looks so cool just from the pics. I wish I was there ridin' with ya!!I hope we get to see the video. It may be a few years till we get to CA to see it. The nemo in Epcot is cute but I was so excited to ride and then it just didnt live up to my epectations. The kiddies like it though.

HOLY COW!!!!what doe people think before going out......obviously not much!!
WINNER #1 spandex and sparkles:confused: ---priceless
WINNER #2 cat in hair:confused: ---:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I havent laughed that hard in a long time..that is one of the funniest things I have heard.

Ok and Im not going to even get started on the braless wonders that are out there. For some reason we have ALOT of that going on here in NJ. It is soooo gross. Unless you are FLAT please dont do it people.

OK so this is really :offtopic:
I am watching the Today show and my love JON BON JOVI  is on.
Oh my he still does it for me. I am staring at the screen like a love sic teen and have goose bumps.
And oh yeah he still sounds good too. They are playing NJ again this year and I cant wait.
Sorry just needed to share that I LOVE HIM:cloud9:

Love the pic of your kidlets with Waldo's dad! :goodvibes What a cutie he is, and now we know the loooong line of Disney-goers you come from:thumbsup2
WOW, if someone does nithing but rave about a ride after waiting upwards fo 2 hours for it, it MUST be good! Is it in the old 20,000 Leagues lagoon? Wish they'd have done that at WDW. :sad2:

About Pic #2... that particular look never has, and never will be, "cool". My friend, you just keep on keeping on with your hot momma self! :cool1: (You did keep the cowboy hat, right? That's a good look!)

Okay, I'll admit to going braless whenever I can get away with it during the summer. BUT. I'm borderline flat - bras are merely a method for creating something that is not for me. No way would I even consider it if the Girls were heading South! :rotfl2:

I am laughing so, so hard. I love your people watching photos. Spandex chick....is she wearing a belt or is that a fanny pack? Ewwww. And cat hair girl, did you offer her a comb? Strange!!!

Your gramps looks good!! Isnt great being able to have those pictures of your kids with him.

So Nemo, was the hour+ wait worth it? My DS has been bugging to go, but I like you dont do DL in the summer. I told him he would have to wait until September but hes gets all  and makes me feel guilty and am thinking about it

Wow! Nemo looks so awesome!! I can't wait to try it out
Absolutely a MUST-DO! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the what NOT to wear at the parks....wow, glittery spandex pants w/ a fanny pack and a tank top tucked in. Classic!
Oh, I didn't even notice the fanny pack! The pants alone burned the retinas in my eyes! :3dglasses

Can't wait!!!!!
Janet
Coming soon to a trip report near you! :goodvibes
And...just you wait...Tera and I have a great people watchin' photo for you...we think we topped your scrunchie lady!
OMG! I can't wait for that! :woohoo:
He looks great, my nan is 87 and Grandad 86 and both going strong
He's all that left in his family. All his brother and sister have since passed. And he's all that we have left. My grandmother (his wife) died around 16 years ago and my mom's dad died before I was born. My mom's mother died 2 weeks before my wedding. :guilty:
You don't go again? Is it too hot or too busy or something?
Nope. We won't step foot in that place until after Labor Day! It's too crowded and too hot. I'm surprised I got Andy to agree to go in June. The park was at 90% capacity on Monday at 11 am!
David says the same over here the first sign of sun and the bra's come off, I want to know how it it he notices so quickly
Haha!!! :rotfl:

Ummm better make sure I'm groomed and dressed correctly when T's around, don't want to be on here
Nah! Just be sure to holster the girls! :rolleyes1

Awesome!! Something to be very proud of. My great-grandma lived until 90 and she was still dancing around up until a month or so before she passed.
Yeah, it's pretty cool. He's can't remember what he ate for breakfast, but get him talking about when he was a kid and he'll tell it like it was yesterday!
Holy carp is right. I would not have braved it. When Splash Mt opened in DL way back when and we went, the line posted was over 2 hours so we ended up skipping it...
Yeah, if I was on vacation, there's no way I'd spend 2 hours in line. But you see, we went specifically for this ride and this ride only. Besides, we went to California Adventure on the day it opened and waited in line for Soarin' for 4 hours! Now that was stupid. But also the days BK. (before kids)

I actually like this style hair, but it is supposed to be neater in the back. I wanted this cut last time I went to my stylist and all I ended up with was short. I haven't been back since December trying to grow it out...
I'm sure it's very cute, when it's combed!!!:lmao:
Good thing mine are pointing east and west!
Do you mark them "Good witch" "Bad witch"???? :lmao:

Hey T,
OMG Grandpa looks just like Waldo(but older)!!
You should see Waldo's brother. You'd think they're twins, except my Uncle is heavy. Evan get's all confused when he sees him. He says, "Huh? Two Papa's??" :lmao:

The nemo looks so cool just from the pics. I wish I was there ridin' with ya!!I hope we get to see the video. It may be a few years till we get to CA to see it. The nemo in Epcot is cute but I was so excited to ride and then it just didnt live up to my epectations. The kiddies like it though.
I had heard about the Epcot Nemo, so I didn't have high expectations. But I think the whole underwater thing really enhances the ride. :wizard:
HOLY COW!!!!what doe people think before going out......obviously not much!!
WINNER #1 spandex and sparkles ---priceless
WINNER #2 cat in hair I havent laughed that hard in a long time..that is one of the funniest things I have heard.
There were more, but I just couldn't pull off the stealth moves in time. :cool2:
OK so this is really
I am watching the Today show and my love JON BON JOVI is on.
Oh my he still does it for me. I am staring at the screen like a love sic teen and have goose bumps.

Ooohh!!! I loves me some JBJ! He still does look good!

Love the pic of your kidlets with Waldo's dad! What a cutie he is, and now we know the loooong line of Disney-goers you come from:thumbsup2
I think Grandpa's the one who really got me started on Disney. He took me to see Bambi when it was re-released in theaters. :goodvibes

WOW, if someone does nithing but rave about a ride after waiting upwards fo 2 hours for it, it MUST be good! Is it in the old 20,000 Leagues lagoon? Wish they'd have done that at WDW.
Yup! It rocked, girl! :woohoo: The did put it in the 20,000 lagoon. But you have that cute Winnie the Pooh park! :rolleyes1 Sorry, couldn't resist. :teeth:

About Pic #2... that particular look never has, and never will be, "cool". My friend, you just keep on keeping on with your hot momma self! (You did keep the cowboy hat, right? That's a good look!)
Awww, thanks V! ;) I keep the hat for my inner cowgirl! She loves that hat!
Okay, I'll admit to going braless whenever I can get away with it during the summer. BUT. I'm borderline flat - bras are merely a method for creating something that is not for me. No way would I even consider it if the Girls were heading South!
I think I should reword that. There's one thing to go braless, when you don't need it and then there's another thing to go braless because your bra is hot and probably hurts. It hurts for a reason. Your girls are too big to go off bouncing to their own beat. KWIM? :lmao: Just sayin'.
I am laughing so, so hard. I love your people watching photos. Spandex chick....is she wearing a belt or is that a fanny pack? Ewwww. And cat hair girl, did you offer her a comb? Strange!!!
I do believe it's a fanny pack. I could be wrong. :confused3 Cat hair girl, no I didn't, but she kept smooshing her hair in the back, so I'm assuming it's supposed to look like that?

Your gramps looks good!! Isnt great being able to have those pictures of your kids with him.
Everytime we see him, I make sure to take a photo of him with Maddie and Evan. You never know when he won't be around anymore.
So Nemo, was the hour+ wait worth it? My DS has been bugging to go, but I like you dont do DL in the summer. I told him he would have to wait until September but hes gets all and makes me feel guilty and am thinking about it
Yes, I think it was soooo worth it. The only thing I would say is to get there at park opening and aviod Early entry days.
just checkin back to see if we have video yet and to also note that those Nemo monrails are very cool.

I'm uploading it now, T. It's a little long, so I had to edit it. Let's hope it works! :thumbsup2

OMG!! I so need stealth photo moves from you DL Mama!!! YOu are the best, though I can't wait to see what GLove has from her trip!

Love the pic of your grandpa, you are so blessed to have him around. Question though, is he like Waldo, or is Waldo one of a kind:lmao:

Can't wait to see the Nemo video.

So how do you sit in the sub? Are there seats all with a window view or something?

Hey! There are 3 responses to quotes that had my name in it but I never posted those quotes! Did you retype everyone's names? I guess you were just had me on your mind....

Wow video was great. so do they project the nemo "cast" into/onto the glass/water and it just moves along as you do?
Thats how its done in WDW except no cool submarines just a clam-mobile.
Thanks so much:thumbsup2
