Memory Maker with Annual Pass?

Can someone help me understand what I need to do to set this up?

I have our gold APs linked to MDE and these APs were advertised as including memory maker. Does that mean I can select the option that I've already purchased to link it to my account? But it's then asking me for an ID number?

Any advice much appreciated, this is all new to me!

If your APs are linked to MDX, that's all you have to do. There's no separate entitlement.

So how does it all work, in the same kind of way photopass did?
I pick up a card from the first photographer and that's the code I'll use when we get back?
Or do they now scan magicbands for photos instead?

MagicBands can be scanned for photos. So can your hard plastic AP card. The photos will appear in your MDX account. They shouldn't be watermarked since your APs are linked.

I don't gave a hard AP card, probably coz even though it's linked, it's not been used yet, so technically not activated. Does that sound right?
Do I need to go somewhere to get a card when we arrive?

Yes, you will take your confirmation for your APs (mine was a barcode in an email) to guest relations. You can go when you get to the park or at Disney Springs. They will give you the plastic card, which you will use for free parking and discounts. Everyone must be present with a photo ID to pick up the passes.

To view your photos on the website once have some taken, you'll go to the photopass site. http://mydisneyphotopass.com/

Pictures will be accessible from the app too.

We had so many pictures that I ended up buying their archive disc for around $30 instead of downloading them all.

Follow up question from someone who's thinking of getting a Gold AP in the near future: If my family gets APs, and we're traveling with another family that's linked with us on MDX but which is not getting an AP, will we get their photopass photos, too? The same as if we bought Memory Maker outright and linked them to it?

You are correct. Basically any photo you scan your magic band with will show up in your account. We've even gotten others photos by mistake when the photo at the ride has changed to the next party.

Ok---sorry to jump in here but I have a similar question-if I upgrade my package tickets to APs on my first day, will I have access to photopass pictures right away? If I'm going to upgrade and have the photos on Day 1, it doesn't make sense to do the advance purchase of MM.

Yes, and if you have any previous pictures (up to a year ago) they will now show up with no watermarks in your account.

I added my future (6 days to go!) DIL and her Maid of Honor when they went to WDW for the bachelorette party and not only did I get all of their pictures from the trip, I also got the pictures that the MOH had taken when she went with her DH in May. It was quite a nice surprise for her when I downloaded them to a disk and gave them to her since her DH is an Army Officer and deployed to someplace hot and sandy for a while longer. She was ecstatic!

I have a question about linking multi accounts to an AP with Memory Maker.

In the past, and currently unless things changed, MY account bought memory maker and the other peoples bands (from two other rooms) showed all the pictures on my account.
This year one member of our party who is staying in a different room from me will be buying an AP.
Is there anything I need/should do in advance to make sure all of us in the others rooms are linked and can get the pictures correctly?
