Has anyone ever bought a memory foam mattress from Amazon or other online store? We need a new mattress for our camper and these seem like a good deal, ranging around $150-$200. Much cheaper than anything I can find locally, and the one I'm looking at has 1000+ positive reviews. Anyone buy a memory foam mattress online and like it? Not like it?

We won't buy a used mattress from strangers so this seems to be the best deal around.

Is the $150-$200 for a mattress or a mattress topper? Our memory foam topper was around $125 at Costco but maybe your camper uses something non-standard. I've never seen a memory foam mattress for those prices.

Amazon is a great option for buying online so I would highly recommend it. I order tons of things from amazon and returns are always very easy.

I bought a memory foam mattress from Amazon and love it. It was a 14" thick king mattress and it cost $600.

I bought this one

http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garde...ize-Memory-Foam-Mattress/3158654/product.html

from Overstock almost 5 years ago. This is my primary bed. It is wonderful and is just as good as new.

I loved that it was delivered compressed as I am on the 6th floor and the elevator is too small for a regular queen mattress.

I like a very firm mattress but got the medium after reading the reviews (1700+ 5 star reviews).

When I researched the memory foam toppers I found that for true comfort you must have at least 4", the ones at Kohls were only 1 1/2" - 2" (2" were much easier to find)

My mom did buy a 2" for the RV, and we bought a 4" topper for our home bed - I can tell the difference, and I'm glad we have the 4" - but the 2" is way better than nothing that was that bed in the RV!!

A lot of the cheaper memory foam mattresses are pretty thin. I looked up 14 inch memory foam mattresses, and they seemed to start at around $500--similar to what I paid at Costco for ours.

I bought my daughter a 6" memory foam mattress off amazon for under $200. I don't think it's thick enough for a heavy person to sleep on comfortably, but she loves it. Her bed has a raised position specifically for mattresses without foundations so it looks normal.

You are looking at what, the "Sleep Innovations" mattress, I believe.

First, I have one, second my son liked ours so well he bought one for his off-campus apartment.

Third, my daughter also likes ours so well, she wants to buy one for her apartment, but is waiting to "save up the $$$."

My wife thinks it is a bit firm for her, but definitely O.K.

I, the one who decided to buy it, am the only one who HAS NOT slept on it, so I can't give a personal opinion.

Know that they gave away a fair number of these, based on getting people to post reviews....so that may skew reviews a bit. :scratchin

However, last September, wife said we need new mattress for guest room. I am the wheeler/dealer in the family and I set out on the quest.

I had no intention of buying a foam mattress and told several mattress sales people so. But, in doing research, actually decided to give one a try -- it's the guest room after all.

Glad I did. Price is cheap. Deliveried to door for free and everyone who has slept on it likes it -- well -- wife so/so -- but she is sort of like that Mikey character in the cereal commericals. So, a "so/so" from her is pretty good.

I picked it based on reviews and also based on Sleep innovations pillows wife, I and my son have had for more than a year and love.

SO: Have not had it through a summer. We got ours in September, when temperatures are in the 60s here. Son got his in January. I have read some people who say they can be hot to sleep on.

Ours does not get regular use, and we have had it less than a year, so no clue on durability (for your use, though, it should be fine).

I got the thickest one they offer -- in hindsight, I would probably get the next thickness down (too tough to wrestle with linens). Son got the Eight-inch, I think and loves it.

You can also buy the same mattress through Walmart....it was a wash when I compared the prices.

To sum it up, I would go for it for your use.

Yes, it's a complete mattress, an 8" thick memory foam mattress, for around $150. I like that it comes compressed so we don't have to wrestle a regular mattress into the camper! It's a full sized bed platform so a standard full size mattress will fit fine. Our regular bed is a full, so we'd considered a new mattress for home, but it's not in the budget right now to spend $500+ on a new bed just so we have something more comfy than the 4" spring mattress in the "new to us" camper. (That thing is horrible even to sit on!)

Glad some of you have had good luck with them! For a camper I think it will be fine.

We have a foam mattress from Amazon. I believe it is the 10" and it is a king size so it was about $300. LOVE IT!!! My mom has a TempurPedic and she said it feels a lot like her mattress.

I think "Sleep Innovations" is the brand of ours too.

Sleep Innovations 10-Inch Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress with 20-years Warranty, with 2-Bonus Memory Foam Pillows, Queen Size is best one ever known to me along with multiple things .. It has luxurious poly cotton blend mattress..

I can't quite remember which particular mattress I purchased, but I got mine from Wal-Mart's website. It is a 14" queen and at the time they were selling for just under $300 with free shipping. It's been my primary mattress for 3 years now and its showing no signs of wear yet. I have been very pleased with it and shocked with the quality and comfort I got for a fraction of the price of the name brand mattress I looked at. Plus the bonus of it being shipped to my front door and not having to pay a delivery fee! It was heavy and cumbersome, but I was able to drag it from the front door to my bedroom and get it set up on my platform bed fairly easy.

There are 2 words of caution I would give with these mattresses, 1st one is that I don't know how in the world you would ever return one if you didn't like it. The zipper was broken on the dust cover on mine when it arrived. The manufacturer told me to return the bed and refused to send a new cover. I just loosely sewed the open area shut instead.

The other word of caution is that there are a few days in the summer where it is uncomfortable to sleep because the mattress gets too warm. Mind you I don't have AC given the fact that we only have a handful of days that are hot enough to warrant it.

Otherwise, I would give one of these mattresses a try.
