Memories that will live on forever! Oct. 17-24, 2010-UPDATED 10/7/11 and New TR Link

Love the girls co-ordinating outfits! :thumbsup2

my mum wears a poncho on any ride that even a drop of water might come near her, cast members have teased her and said she's being a chicken etc but she doesn't care she refuses to get wet!:rotfl:

ooooh, Ohana!:goodvibes

I love those dresses! They were perfect for a hot day in AK. I figure that I better coordinate their outfits for as long as I can. It is getting harder all of the time to find things things that match in both of their sizes. A lot of the things in Erin's size are a bit mature for my taste.

I think that she is very smart to wear a poncho! I just knew that I would be the one to get wet.

I am so sad it is almost over! I am all caught up though!

I am a bit sad myself. That is probably why I have dragged it on as long as possible! :rolleyes1

So how tall is your youngest when you measured her at home with shoes on? I am just curious as my youngest is exactly 40inches with shoes and we are wondering how many of the 40 inch rides he is gonna be able to ride.

She was right at 40 inches when I measured her at home with her tennis shoes on. Hopefully your son should be fine. Practice having him stand up straight and tall before you go. I think that was part of the problem at Test Track. It was our first ride and Ava didn't understand how important it was to stand up straight.

We'll get a picture, too. :thumbsup2

Sounds good! :)

We made our way back to our hotel for the rest of the afternoon. It was nice because Stu brought the girls down to the pool so I could get some packing done. I was able to finish up and I still had enough time to join Stu poolside for a cocktail. It was such a relaxing way to spend our last afternoon.

We decided we wanted to check out the Disney outlet beforing heading to dinner. The store was just a little over a mile away at the Orlando Premium Outlets and we were able to get there quickly. We were able to find a few items to our liking, but we realized that it was getting late and we needed to get on our way to 'Ohana.

We got in the car and got on Vineland Avenue to find the traffic backed up the little over a mile that it took us to get to the outlet. All of the cars were trying to make a right turn to get to Disney. We decided we needed to make a left and make a u-turn in our hotel parking lot or we were never going to get to 'Ohana.

We finally made it to the Poly, but we were definitely going to be late. The guard told us we could go ahead and park in the lot. After making two passes with no luck we decided we would just go to valet parking. It was $12, but we were in such a hurry at this point that I didn't even care.

When planning our trip we decided that this was the one meal that we wanted to repeat from the previous year. When I initially made the ADR I wasn't able to get a time until 8:30. I stalked the ADR thread and checked the Disney site at least twice a day for a better time. About a month before the trip I was able to score a 5:30 time!

When we checked in we arrived about 10 minutes late. We weren't nearly as late as I thought we would be, but I still can't stand being late. They gave us a buzzer and we went to have a seat. While we were waiting Stu and I ordered a cocktail. Ava was sitting on my lap and she didn't realize I had a "grown-up" drink. She was just about to take a sip and I startled her when I quickly yelled out stop. She was upset because I surprised her and one of the servers saw what had happened. Next thing you know she came out with a special drink for the girls to share. It was so kind of her and the girls thought they were pretty special.

After about twenty minutes we were buzzed for a table. It is amazing how quickly they just start loading you up with food. I didn't take any pictures of the food, but I have to say our favorites on this particular evening were the potstickers, steamed broccoli, and the steak and shrimp. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the shrimp this time, because the last time we were there I didn't care for them at all. They are a bit of a pain to peel, but they sure were tasty.

During dinner the girls really enjoyed the entertainment that was going on. They were able to learn the hula, have a dance with Daddy, and join in the coconut races. I am disappointed that my pictures didn't turn out better. I had my camera on the wrong setting and didn't realize it until it was too late. Here are some that turned out a little bit.

It was really cute when Stu went out to dance with the girls.

After all of the entertainment Erin and Ava decided it was time for dessert. Our server brought them out some ice cream with sprinkles. It is amazing how much better a plain bowl of ice cream looks with a few sprinkles.

We had a great time at 'Ohana and it was the perfect way to wrap up our awesome week.

We headed down to the beach for one last look at our beloved castle and to say our goodbyes to the Magic Kingdom. While we were on the beach the light parade came by. It was sure was a nice way to wrap our vacation up.

What a perfect last afternoon and evening you had. It's nice you got to slow down a little bit and soak some of the little things before you depart.

I too can't stand being late. It seriously throws me off big time. I'm glad you managed to get there and didn't have to wait for too long. I think it was a good call paying the $12 valet fee.

'Ohana looks awesome! I am really hoping to score an ADR this coming October during our girls' only trip. I've read such good reviews I cannot wait to try it myself. I'm glad you had such a nice meal. :) The girls look like they were having lots of fun!

I love the girls dresses.
That's great you were able to get the 5:30 ADR.
I think I would like to try Ohana the next time we go to WDW. It looks like a lot of fun.
That was very sweet of the CM to give the girls a special drink to share!

Our original plan was to stay at AK until our ADR at 'Ohana. I am so glad the girls made the choice that they did.

I was shocked that we were only 10 minutes late. I usually arrive everywhere 10 minutes early, so it felt like we were 20 minutes late to me! It really gets under my skin on the rare occasions that we run behind.

'Ohana is definitely our favorite. Make sure you arrive hungry because the food just doesn't end. Just make sure you save enough room for the bread pudding dessert!

I love the girls dresses.

The girls dresses were an end of the season steal from Old Navy. They were just right for our AK day.

I was so excited to find the 5:30 ADR. I had checked the site so many times that I coud hardly believe my eyes when it showed up. I made Stu look at just to make sure it was true!

You should definitely try 'Ohana if you haven't. The girls didn't eat as much as they usually would because of all the activity going on, but they had so much fun.

I was very thankful for the kindness of the CM. She made their night.

It sounds like you had a perfect last day!

I've never been to the outlet store there. Was it worth the trip over? Do they sell park merchandise?

Its so stressful being late but it looks like you had a great time and thats great the cm came over with a drink for the girls and made everything better again!

We are spending our arrival day night at the Poly to watch the light parade and the fireworks from the beach. Could you see it good from there?

What a wonderful ending to your trip! So glad you weren't too late for your 'Ohana dinner. Only one problem with 'Ohana- too much food. It's so good, but just sampling a little of everything leaves me hurting!

I absolutely adore the last pictures of you and the girls!

Even though we were sad on our last day, we had an awesome time.

The outlet had a fair amount of park merchandise. Stu, Erin, and Ava were all able to find shirts for a reasonable price and I was also able to get some pins. From my understanding it can be pretty hit and miss, but I am glad we went to check it out.

It is very stressful for me to be late. I am actually glad that we had to wait for a table for a bit. It gave us a chance to relax and regroup.

We had a great time watching the light parade from the beach. There are chairs that you can relax in and the kids just plopped down in the sand. It was neat to see from a different perspective.

I am so glad we decided to end our vacation at 'Ohana. It just wrapped up things so nicely. There is definitely too much food, but it is just so delicious!

Thanks! That picture is one of my all time favorites.

I am so glad that my thread got bumped back up. I didn't realize that I wasn't finished!:sad2:

We went to the Disney outlet at the Orlando Premium Outlets. We were pretty successful if finding some good deals.

Stu was able to find a couple of shirts:

Erin found a few things that she liked:

Ava also founds some deals:

The only thing that I found was a few pins:

We also purchased a few things at DTD when we were there. I always like to get a magnet and a Christmas ornament:

The girls also had some money that they wanted to spend:

I had searched high and low for a shirt or sweatshirt on our last day. I was still kicking myself that I hadn't bought the shirt that I saw at Epcot. I finally found something after dinner at 'Ohana in one of the shops at the Poly:

I also wanted to let you know that we will be leaving in 8 days for California! I can't wait to visit Disneyland and San Diego. I just started a new report in the Disneyland Trip Report section if any of you are interested! Here is the link:

California, Here We Come!

I love the souvenirs you brought home! I also always get a magnet and an ornament. It's tradition! :goodvibes
