Staying at one of our home resorts for the first time. We have reserved a 1 bedroom for a week at the Beach Club Resort. Does anyone have any suggestions on the perfect room to ask for? Also, we have been to Disney several times but not as a DVC member. Anyone have any helpful suggestions on cooking meals while there? We usually grill at home. Anyone know of any grills available?::MickeyMo

Spoken like a true Texan!! We don't hardly go a week without grilling chicken, steak, sausage or hamburgers - sometimes all of the above if we're going to make several meals out of it the rest of the week. I seem to remember they added a grill at BCV - maybe near the pool area?? Does anyone remember this??

By the way - don't tell anyone, but we have been known to grill the lazy way - with a Foreman grill. We'll probably take it with us on our next trip. There's a rub you can get at the supermarket called Charcrust (my husbands company distributes this product) that will seal in the flavors. Good for pork, poultry, steak, fish, etc. Peppercorn is our favorite.

Other than that, I would keep it as simple as possible. Pasta, frozen pizza's, hot dogs, packaged salads, etc. Last year we went with the intentions of cooking more, but did throw out some of the food we purchased that week.

I did see at least one grill, maybe two. They were on the walkway between the parking lot and the quiet pool. There were a couple of picnic tables there too!
