Memorial week or first week of June???

Thinking of going on a short 4 or 5 night trip. My kids finish school on May 24th. should we go the week of Memorial day or wait until the next week. I could always get there the day after Memorial day and stay for the rest of the week. I'm pretty flexible with dates, just trying to figure out what days would be better crowd wise.

Personally, I'd go as early as I could. The later you go, the more schools are out and the more people can and do travel. May not make a huge difference but won't hurt.

Normally I would say avoid the holiday weekend. But the longer you wait, the more crowded it will get as more schools have ended.

Personally the last couple of years I haven't noticed a huge difference between those two weeks. I went to Epcot on Memorial Day in 2017 and expected it to be pretty busy (holiday and last day of Flower and Garden festival) but it was just what I'd consider normal crowds. Same held for most of the other parks, yes there's people and waits but nothing too out of the ordinary. We typically do first week of June one year and last week of May the next, getting at least 2 trips from each AP.

We went at the beginning of June this year. It was great. I'd highly recommend going then. A lot of schools aren't out yet, so the crowds are a little lighter.

We went several years as soon as our son got out of school and it was right before Memorial Day. Parks were fine.

Thanks everyone for your responses! I think we will try to arrive on Memorial Day and go to the parks the rest of the work week and leave Saturday morning. Hopefully the crowds of people will only be there for the long weekend.

Yup, first week in June is busy. Everyone is out and making that first trip of the summer. We go ASAP to beat the heat as much as we can. Only once have we been able to get out there at the end of May, and I thought the crowds would be worse, but it's even busier that first week in June.
