Does any one have a specific friend or family member they would like remembered today?

I had a family friend, John Gallagher . My God bless his family today and every day. :grouphug:

George DiPasquale, FDNY, Firefighter, Ladder 2.

A son of my friend and coworker who I had the pleasure of meeting just a couple of weeks before his death.

B.C. John Moran and FF Richie Allen

Eternal rest grant unto them, O' Lord
And let perpetual light shine upon them
And may they rest in peace, Amen

Officer Glen Petit, NYPD.

He was in the video unit, documenting police and firefighter activity, and followed a brigade of firefighters into one of the towers just before it collapsed. He was also a longtime cameraman with me at News 12 Long Island. Glen loved...LOVED, his job. He truly was doing what he loved most when he died. He taught DH and I alot about the business. God bless and keep you Glen.

Claudia Sutton- Cantor Fitzgerald
Paul Jurgens- Port Authority
Thomas & Timothy Haskell, brothers- NYC firefighters

May God Bless their families and watch over their children :grouphug:

David Rathkey - he was my parents' next door neighbor. He left behind 3 small children. He was in the South tower on the phone with his wife when the 2nd plane hit.

May god bless the family he unfortunately left behind that day.

Please remember Marianne, a cast member from The Disney Store #334 Faneuil Hall, Boston, MA. She was on the second plane that hit the World Trade Center towers on 9/11/01. She was on her way to Disneyland and also worked for the airline (United, I beleive) at Logan airport.

edit:

September 11th list of dec'd and Marianne's photo.

Jeffrey Coombs - Abington, MA. A man I never met but who's memorial service I attended on 9/11/02. His home town of Abington was the next town over from where I lived when I was still in MA.

Peace to all the families on this sad day. :(

Very nice. I am glad that you posted this. You knew him a lot better than I did.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Thelma Cuccinello. From Wilmot, NH. My dad's aunt (so my great aunt). She was on American Airlines flight 11. She was on her way to visit her sister in California

Cesar A. Murillo, 32, a newlywed who worked at Cantor Fitzgerald in the
World Trade Center
and
Bryan C. Jack, 48, who worked for the Defense Department at the Pentagon
and was on AA Flight 77 that flew into the Pentagon

James and Mary Trentini
My high school teacher and his wife. They were on Flight 11, the first plane to hit the towers.

My DH knew him well and worked with him at the police academy. He speaks about him often as well as PO Moira Smith - she was the only female police officer that died. My dh worked with PO Moira Smith's husband (PO at the academy) and I had the pleasure of meeting both him and their daughter at a benefit for PO Smith a couple of years ago. So sad.

He spoke at the Ground Zero ceremonies today and had their daughter with him. I think I cried the hardest at his words. :sad2:

Robin Kaplan, from Framingham MA.

She was one of my DW's best friends, bridesmaid in our wedding, and one of the employees from TJX on American flight 11, the first one into the towers.

And how weird is it that one of the posts here is my name, too? I never knew someone with my name was killed that day.

Andrew Alameno. He worked at Cantor Fitzgerald. His father is a surgeon at the hospital where I work.

God bless all the victims and their families this day.

Terry Farrell FDNY Rescue 2 and Chief of my fire department on Long Island

Wonderful, caring, man who left behind a wife and two children. He is with the angels.
