Memorial Day Weekend Crowds

Tried to use the search engine, but it isn't functioning so can anyone tell me what the crowds are like on Memorial Day Weekend? It's not my first choice, but is looking like it may be our only option for travel next year. Unless we don't go at all !

Our trip last year was the Friday before Memorial Day until the Saturday after, and I was afraid of the crowds too. It was crowded, but not as horrible as I had feared, and we'd go that week again. I don't have much to compare the crowds to, obviously it was worse than when we went at the end of September, but I used Tour Guide Mike and we didn't wait more than 15 minutes for any ride except Pirates, that was 25 minutes but it was pouring the rain and we were dry.

We traveled over MD weekend twice. Once was in 2001 and we stayed at the AKL that trip. It is hot and crowded and that year we were dealing with smoke from wild fires so that put a damper on things since my husband has severe asthma. We stayed at CSR in 2004 and it was hot an crowded but a good time. We flet as if the staff at the CSR was not prepared for the crowds at the main pool area but the quite pools where very relaxing. As long as you go with a game plan on how to deal with the crowds and the heat you should be fine.

We went last year the Wednesday before and stayed until Memorial Day. Can't say what the crowds were like after but I didn't think they were too bad while we were there. We're going the same Wednesday but staying until Tuesday this year. We were there both April and November and you can't beat the weather we had in May.
