Woke up very early. I thought it was about 2 am and that I'd go back to sleep-well, it was 5am-time to get up. Yeah-we are going to Disney!

We got up, ate breakfast, packed up the drinks and we were off!!!

We pulled out of our driveway at 6:00am exactly!

Marcus was very good on the way up. Mike had bought him 3 new DVD's for the trip (Shrek, Lord of the Rings 3, and Goonies). He watched Goonies on the way up. We passed about 10 big buses full of kids headed for Orlando. Oh boy..fun...
The trip was pretty uneventful. We stopped twice and were off the turnpike at 9:06 am-I love living three hours from WDW!!!

Well, there we were on Osceola Parkway, chatting away and missed our turn! We ended up at Animal Kingdom. No big deal. We turned around and were soon pulling up to Disney's Beach Club Resort! WOW!!! It was so pretty and the day was so beautiful. It really does have that Nantucket Seaside lfeel.

As soon as we enterd the lobby, there was Art, the greeter!!! We got a picture of Marcus with him.

There was no line at check-in and a very nice CM, named Sissy, checked us in and had a room ready for us! It was quite a walk to our room from the lobby, but once there we found a stairway right by Cape May Cafe and the pool, so that was nice. We were in room 3722. Our room was so spacious, but our view was literally of a roof. We did get our request of a full balcony, but on this side of the resort, it is a waste. I wasn't going to let it ruin our weekend, though. Note to self: book water view.

As soon as bell services brought our luggage up, we unpacked and headed to Downtown Disney. We decided to drive and then park in self parking, since we would not be using the car for the rest of our stay.

First stop-Legoland, where Marcus got an Orient Expedition playset and played outside for a while. We then went to World of Disney, Team Mickey, peaked in the Earl of Sandwich and the Christmas shop. We were getting hungry, so we decided to walk over to Fulton's for lunch. It was so nice and quiet in there. We had a beautiful view of the lake and Saratoga Springs. I didn't think it was open yet, but there seemed to be plenty of people over there. Anyway, our server was great and I ordered the Cobb Salad, which had TONS of crab, shrimp, and scallops.

It was getting very hot, so we decided to head back to the Beach Club to try out Stormalong Bay.

The pool is just amazing-no other word! We had such a blast on that slide. It was not crowded at all and we had no problem getting a lounge chair where we wanted all weekend. Mike and I got a mudslide from the pool bar.

Around 4 pm, we decided to walk over to Epcot (this literally takes five minutes). It was so nice not having to take a bus or drive. We got Fastpasses for Test Track as the stand by line was 70 min. Next, we went to Ice Station Cool, had a snowball fight and tasted drinks from around the world. I am not in Disney till I've tasted the Beverly! On to ride Spaceship Earth and Figment-both walk-ons. We had a PS for 6:10 at Le Cellier , so we headed over to Canada. They were not taking any walk-ups. We did have about a fifteen minute wait, which was fine. We saw some cute little bunnies! Food was wonderful ,as always! I had the cheese soup, pretzel bread and the fliet mignon. After dinner we saw "O Canada". We were pretty tired at this point. I decided to go back to the resort and Mike and Marcus headed over to Test Track. By the way, we did rent a stroller for Marcus. I did stop at the Queen's Table and Tea Caddy on my way....
when I got back to the room, our mousekeeper had turned down our beds, emptied the trash, and had fresh towels. The lights were turned down low and the curtains were drawn. She had placed Marcus' stuffed animals on the pillows with the chocolates-too cute. I did go down to the giftshop and bought our traditional resort magnet.

Mike and Marcus did not get back until 10pm. They rode a few more things and stayed for Illuminations.

tomorrow-Cape May, pool time, big river grill and teppanyaki!

Your so lucky to live so close!
I have a nephew named Marcus who is in Kindergarten. Is Earl of Sandwich a Deli type restaurant or a sit-down place? I've never seen that there, did it look good?
I'm enjoying your report:D

Sounds great! We are going to be at the BC in August. I also requested a full balcony and only went for the standard view. Hope we get to look at a little more than the roof top  . Can't wait to read more of your trip report. :)
