No one can know what the opening of SWGE will do to MDW crowds this year, but the last two years, crowds were good to very good. Things didn't get crowded until the Monday, and crowds continued to build through the week. Check the AP blockout calendar for your dates -- the more APs blocked, the better. But this year, with the official announcement of SWGE's opening the following week, that could add some crowds as people visit trying to avoid that opening. If MDW is when you can visit, just go! Do you best research and planning here, make your reservations (TS dining and dining packages) ahead of time, bring lots of patience and a positive attitude, and have a great time!
