Memorial book for SusieStone and her son - Picture link in first post!

Keep whining! We can take it, and if you get it out of your system you can be strong for Stone. I know God gives us only what we can bear, but sometimes I think the scales weigh a little heavier than He thinks. Extra  for you both.

I love those additions. Did you take pictures of trick or treating? Would you want them to be included (or is that too much to think about right now??) I'll make the updates!

P and PD to you and Stone. I'm sorry you are going through this. My MIL told me once this about families: Sometimes you love them with all your heart and sometimes that make you want to scream - into your pillow. I know that is true right now with my family. I can only imagine yours. We're here for you. Vent away!

Yes, we took pictures trick or treating and his dad had a disposable cam he was taking pics with and I just haven't had the strength to develop it yet.

I plan on doing a little special explosion type album or something like that just for Halloween this year. I actually belong to a monthly club - trasure box club and she uses the back and front of paper to end up making 20 8 X 8 pages in nothing flat. The September package was awesome Halloween stuff.......I think right now for me some little projects are better than overhwhelming ones.

The last picure of Virgil alive is him standing in my drive with our Little Jack Sparrow - hopefully, Stone can wear that same costume at the Priate and Princess Party in january.

forgive typos please

Oh, you guys, it is so sweet that you keep adding pages, but it is okay, really, it is just random thoughts.

I so appreciate all your emails.

I know it isn't necessary, but you never know when someone has a good idea or embellishment for a topic. Any page made by someone else, is one less that you have to make, right?

Anywho...AWM - your pages came today. So pretty! Thanks for the goody...I already know where I'm going to use it... :)

Hey Susie, they can toss everything that belonged to Virgil in the trash because you have the best thing ever from him, and that's Stone, and no one can change that.

You have the most precious gift ever. Don't let anyone tell you different.

buffy, perfectly said! it was exactly what i was thinking!
susie, you have the best part of Virgil and that's the most important thing in all of this. Hugs, Love and Prayers to you and Stone. It seems you are all I have been thinking about this past week. Keep the chin up girlfriend!

I have completed my pages.

I haven't done anything like this, so I am not sure how we do the sign in tag.

Can it be neatly hand lettered? (printing?) Or should we use a computer and print it out that way?

Also, I did the pages I signed up for and I also made a few blank photo mats and journal boxes. They are chalked.

I used Bazzill paper. Chocolate brown, a light tan and light blue, I used a cream colored paper without texture for the Journal boxes and tags. I used a couple different pattern papers one in a baseball theme and one for the Duck Hunting Pages.

If everything sounds good, than I can probably mail it out on Wednesday Morning when I have both kids in school.

You can hand write - that is totally fine. But, if you want to print, also totally fine. Up to you.

The colors and stuff sounds perfect. Don't get too stressed about it. I'm sure it will be wonderful! Thanks for making your pages. :)

I am glad it sounds good. It's important to me to do a nice job. I have a few things from Swaps with Susie and she makes some really nice stuff.
I bet the book will be beautiful, the color scheme is gorgeous and the book will be filled with friendship and love.

Susie, I hope you are hanging in there. How is Stone doing?
If there is anything else you need for the book let me know.

Stone is doing amazingly well. He has his moments. But we all do even under normal circumstances. I have always heard about a peace that passes all understanding and I never had it until October 31 and am so thankful that I have been blessed with it. I have my crying times and I get upset but for selfish reasons - I miss him and I wish my son had a dad - wonder what I will do for Christmas. But when I get out of my pity party....I realize that Virgil is with his Lord (how could it get better), my son has the ultimate Father in his life and what CHRISTmas is really about.

After that, things get easier.

I have been able to turn more cheeks than I knew I had.

Thanks for participating and checking on me.

I can do the Baloo pages..Is that right Baloo from the Jungle Book?

Yes, it is Baloo from the Jungle book. Virgil bought Stone a stuffed Baloo that I have kept up on a shelf so I am glad I saved it.

Mail! I got pages from Mazda and mommy2mrb today. They are gorgeous! The book is coming together.

can i ask a question????
for those of you that made or are making pages, what size do you make the photo mat? is it for a 4X6 pic? because that does not leave a lot of room left on the page right? i'm having a creative block here.....
any help????

thanks

For all the books I've done before, I've done a mix.
Some just a single 4x6 double mat with a topper, 2 3x5 double mats, 3 wallet size double mats and my first attempt I don't know what I did, because I was just following the diagram that came with the paper pack. They were weird sized.

I did two page spreads, I made big 4x6 photo mats and embellished them.

I also made a few tags and I did do a layout with two smaller mats on one side and a larger photo mat on the opposite page. Then a made a few extra photo mats and journal boxes. They aren't mounted on the page. I always crop something off my photos even if it is a little on the top or bottom. But I don't think everyone does that. I think some crop in photoshop and print out the pictures and scrapbook 4x6 prints.

I did them last week - do you expect me to still remember :confused3 :lmao:

I think i left the pages pretty flexible, and supplied some spare bits (like journal mats and squares) for Susie to put where she needed, or to use for smaller croppped photos. My mind has gone comlpetely blank on photo mats :scared1: I remember agonising over should they be landscape or portrait, but i honestly couldn't tell you what i decided, or even if I included any:scared:

I am a BAD swapper :guilty:
