We recently purchased additional points from TTS. These points have a different Use Year than our other points. When we went on the website to view them we noticed that they are under a different membership number. :confused3 Is this normal? When we've added points in the past from TTS, with the same Use Year, the points showed up under our original membership number. Should I be contacting Member Services?

Thank you!

And you will have to manage them separately as well (making reservations, banking, etc.). You are allowed 1 transfer per UY between the two UYs, so make sure if you are transferring to combine points, you transfer as many points as you think you will need. Last year, I ended up transferring all points from one UY to the other just to simplify things when making reservations. It's not a big deal, just took some planning. The transferred points retain the original UY, home resort privileges and banking deadlines.

Thank you both for your quick responses! It sounds like we'll need to be more aware of which points we'll use from which UY etc.

Thanks again! :worship:

And the bad problem will be when you go to book something, MS will probably see one contract and not the other unless you remind them that you have another contract.

We have two separate contracts and luckily they are both the same resort. So I use my once a year transfer to put the points from the smaller contract into the larger contract.

One thing you will learn quickly is that you cannot combine points from two different contracts for a single night. That's why you need to transfer at times. Separate nights made with each contract can be linked, though.

Since we can only transfer once per UY this could become an issue if you want to do another member transfer for points you can't use.

If you have two use years (and the two member numbers) it is just like being two different people when it comes to anything DVC. You are entitled to one transfer per use year for each of those years.

Are both contracts showing up in your dvc account log in? That is my biggest fear since we just bought our 3rd contract but this 1 is a different UY as long as I can see it I should be fine! Everything I have read has made me very nervous!

^We have two use years; both show up in the single on-line account as long as the purchasers are the same (for example, if first was husband and wife, second also has to be and not just one of those two or any deeds adding a third person).

Right. If you transfer to yourself, you use one to transfer out and one to transfer in. One out for one contract and one in for the other.

Both contracts do show up on the DVC website. No need to be nervous now. These people that answered my original question are pros! :worship:

We've got nothing to worry about except when we'll take our next trip!
Thanks everyone!
