membership cards?

When do we receive our membership cards? We signed our contract on Sept. 4th and still have not received them. do we have to wait til closing? Should I follow up with my guide?

There always seems to be a delay in the distribution of the membership cards; I believe it was once posted that a third party stamps them out and mails them.

Following up with your guide wouldn't hurt; he could probably even get you some temporary cards, but you really don't need them. Having your member number (which you will get following the closing) is the important component.

We signed on Sep. 12 and maybe 10-14 days later we received our FedEx package with the backpack and 2 temporary cards. The temporary cards have your member number on them and can be used right away if needed, i.e. at a Disney Store.

We were told the actual closing on our contract (SSR) won't happen until around April 1, 2004 and that we won't get the permanent cards until after closing.

Our closing was 29 October and our permanent membership cards arrived on Saturday (8 Nov). Actually, only my husband's arrived... When I called MS on Monday to followup on where my card was, I was told they have in their system it was mailed out. They put in an order for another one to be sent to me, but it will take 4 - 6 weeks!
