Membership Card Problem

I called MS last December and requested a new membership card because I had misplaced mine. I was told I'd get a replacement in two months. It never came so I called again the end of March and was told that they would send in another request. Well, it's the middle of June and no membership card. :confused3 I'll be going to WDW in August and will be purchasing an AP and will need the card to get my discount. Has anyone else had a problem with obtaining a replacement? Maybe I should call my guide.

Can you order your AP through the member website so that at least you don't have to worry about that for now. Of course you will need the card while at DW for the other discounts.

Just as a side note, my experience with MS has been that while they have always been very pleasant to talk to, they don't seem to be very efficient. I receive documents from CRO within 3-4 days and it takes 2-3 weeks to get any documents from MS (If I actually get them). I have been waiting on ME documents for a person I added on to my reservation 3 weeks ago.

The cards come from a outside contractor. It can take a long time. If you card hasn't come by the time you go on vacation, call your Guide and they can arrange for a temporary card.
 
You don't need to call your guide for a temporary card. Just go to the sales center at SSR - the CMs there can print you a temporary card if necessary.

Hope your "permanent" card arrives soon.
 

Is your address on file correct? Maybe it is going somewhere else? I just ordered new ones in April and they came in less than 2 weeks. Good luck!
 
I ordered a new one a couple of years ago because my original one split apart. It took awhile and a couple calls to member services.

Even if you order your AP voucher in advance, I think you will need the DVC card to exchange it for the actual AP.

DebbieB is right , you do need to have a license ( ID ) , member card and DVC discounted AP voucher if you order it before hand.
