Member Website Activation

In the paperwork for purchasing DVC it mentioned that a 1-time activation code for accessin the DVC Member website was going to be sent in a few days. I am trying to be patient (it's very hard) but it has now been 10 days...Should I have received it by now? How long does it usually take? Am I just being too impatient????

You can call MS and get it over the phone.

I just called MS. I can make reservations immediately (already made a reservation for Jan) but can't access the member website until closing which is predicted for 12/25...Merry Christmas to us!!! I guess there must be a lot of top scret, member only, we could tell you but we would have to kill you, information on the member site and that is why I can't have access just yet.

So, for now, I will just keeping waiting patiently. At least now I can quit running to the mailbox thinking maybe today will be the day it arrives.

May I ask if you bought through Disney or resale? I am curious as to the idea of making reservations prior to closing and how that works. Congrats on your purchase!

I bought directly through Disney...over the phone. They sent me the paperwork Fed Ex overnight and included were our temporary membership cards. Before the paperwork was even sent back to Disney I was albe to call MS and make a reservation using our DP. I have the say I was very impressed with how easy the purchasing process has been. Now I just have to wait for Disney to finish their process but other than not being able to access the member website, I feel like a full owner

One of the advantage to purchasing through Disney is that reservations can be made immediately. Some have even reported their Guide being able to do this to secure the sale.

When we bought, we signed onsite since we were vacationing, and our Guide asked us if we wanted to move that very night from Dixie Landings over to OKW for the rest of our stay. We declined as that trip was paid for and we wanted to plan a full vacation for the next time with our points.

Like you I purchased DVC over the phone. My guide reserved my room before the FedEx ever went out. (I have a back up "regular" reservation just in case something falls apart with the deal).

Unlike you though, I asked MS for the activation code for the website and was given it no problem. I was excited all day to get home and get to log in. Wasn't the most exciting experience when I finally got in, but I am in just the same!!

We were also able to access the website after putting down our deposit. We called MS and they gave us the code.

UPDATE: Guess what I received in the mail today? That's right...my one time activation code for the member website.
