Member Since Dates and Online Booking

I have noticed that all of my membership ID dates are the dates of the original owners. I see these dates on the online booking site. Yet my new DVC cards have the same date for all of the cards. Anyone else notice or care?

Don't you even wonder why they are keeping the original sales dates attached to the contracts? Why then do our new member cards only have one date? Has to be a reason.
