Did anyone go to the member sale at Downtown Disney World of Disney store? We're brand new members and wanted to go up for a night and go to the sale. Was it any good? What types of items/prices were available? I'm sure they will do another one sometime.

We did not go as we are trying to not buy anything we do not need at this time. We were there window shopping in the late afternoon, early evening and the store was fairly crowded then. I asked a CM if there was anything left from the sale and he told me no. I also did not see any merchandise priced on sale the entire day like the one at Christmas. Either that or it was all gone. We were good little Diser's though and left without buying anything.

I am interested in hearing what everyone's experiences with the sale was that did get to go! I can live it through you!popcorn::

After reading reports of how crowded the last sale was, we decided to skip it. We did browse through the store one day, and we were very disappointed in the current selections of clothing and shirts available. Where we often buy 3 or 4 (or more) shirts each, we bought two shirts each, one shirt because it was the right color we were looking for, and another because it was marked down 75% and was a long sleeve T-shirt. We figured the marked down shirts would be good for yard work and to protect our arms from the sun. Ugly but functional for the price. ;)

We also were there and did not go to the sale. I got an excellent price on a Disney watch when I was there the first week of March and they had all watches and timepieces 25% off. Then I used my Disney VISA and got another 10% off.

We don't usually buy that much anymore. Just a few presents for the kids who live next door to us (they are little kids who love CARS and Princesses) and I use the AP discount at WOD. And clothes when we need them because of the soakage factor on Splash Mt (Bill and our son got soaked about 15 minutes before our lunch reservation at LTT, so they had to buy underwear, shirts and shorts - $192 worth).

DD and I went.....just for fun. We were lucky to be there for it. It was the day we were checking out.
We took a cab from OKW and were there at 6:00.....by the time the store opened at 6:30, the line was wrapped all the way around the building and down the walkway.
They gave us a map ahead of time with the location of the things on sale.
There seemed to be a few things in each section....and all the Celebrate Everything items.
We got a few things, including the door prize which was Disney Cruise Line beach towels...very nice.
We also could use the Visa 10% off on everything. It was fun and I would do it again. It was crowded in some sections, but didn't seem as crowded to me as Sat. night was. They were only letting a certain amount of people in at a time. We were out by 7:15 and people were still waiting to get in.

We arrived at 6:15 am and were about 600+ people back from the door. it was a madhouse and I don't think I would go again. We did get a few things (scrapbook @ 50% off) but overall found their doorbuster items to be very disappointing. A few of the items that were doorbusters were snowglobes (limited selection), some beach towels, some celebration items, some infant rompers, an ESPN jersey, $3 coffee mugs and some other seasonal merchandise that they were trying to get rid of. Way too many people in there scrambling to get what we thought was mediocre (and overpriced to begin with) items. We did get our free 2009 Disney Cruise Line beach towels as our surprise gift.
