Does the member have to be listed as the occupant? I need another room for a stay, and point rooms are gone.

Bobbi:)

That used to be part of the rules (member as an occupant) but I've read a fair share of reports over the last couple of years from people who said they booked a member discount room under someone else's name. Give it a try--worst they can do is say no. :goodvibes

That's true. Right now, I don't know if DCuz will be joining us. She's someone who wants to pay her own way and if I could help her out this way, I would. Thanks.

I was able to book a cash room for DSis's honeymoon with member discount at HHI, no problem. Don't know if it works at WDW DVCs or not. It saved me the worry of waiting for the 7 month window and the price was right!

We were able to book a discount room for our cousin last April in her own name.

I just booked one for my cousin who is joining us during President's week and my name was not on the ressie. However, when I called to make a change I was told by another CM that I was misinformed that my name HAD to be on ressie, but she did not change it...:confused3

We have booked many times with someone else's name on the ressie and even got the member discounted room. I asked about this to MS. She told me they don't really enforce it that much but if we had trouble at check in to just change the names around on the reservation. We have had no problems so far. Good luck.
