We've got one day to do both parks, the day after Memorial Day. Driving over from Kidani, so no Express Pass. Did HP last year, but of course want to do again. What's our best plan to hit HP, Transformers (plus M&G), and Desp Me without spending hours in line?? (Without buying Express!!!). Plus whatever else we can squeeze in. And I MUST do Mummy at least twice. Told the kids I'm going with or without em! Tied with Everest for my fave ride in Orlando.

You'll need to get to the parks before they open the gates so you can go straight to the more popular attractions. We don't know if Transformers will be open by then so that's going to be a luck of the draw for soft openings. The meet and greet should be fine though. You will need to plan on spending the entire day at both parks so you can do what you want.

I guess I should've been more specific (ramble much?? Haha). Assuming Transformers is open, where should we do rope drop--US or IOA? We will prob only ride HP/FJ once, and have never seen it snow, so maybe should do US first??

go to www.universalorlando.com

check out the rides in each park and decide which park has more of what you want for the day. then spend the rest of your time at the other park that has fewer rides/shows you want to do.

when you plan only one day for the 2 parks, you won't be able to do every ride but can hit the highlights and quite a few other rides on your list.

From the rides you listed, (Despicable Me, Mummy, Transformers and HP), more are at US. If those are your top must do's, the way I would do it is US first, than IoA (which is usually open later than US anyway I think). Hogwarts would be way cool to go to at night anyway.

Hope this helps!

We've done both parks before; just wondering how the waits are expected to be for Transformers vs. HP. Guess I'll just have to ask again once it opens.

it is hard to say until it opens.

when a new ride opens, waits in the regular line are long.

I'm going out on a limb here but I would venture to guess...

Once Transformers opens, you can bet on at least 60-90 minutes all day, every day until fall and slow season begins.

i agree with this as this has been the pattern in the past when a ride opens.

I would hit US first and do Despicable Me, Transformers if open and one or two other must do rides on your list. Then head over to IOA and hit all the big rides before the lines get too bad. Save HP for the final hour before park closing. The crowds will be much lighter then
