So, two updates in ONE day! Doesnt that rock??? Go me!!!
As, Mel Happyhaunt would say, So, thats SICK! Whatever that means!
LOL
The hotel room (aka villa) was pretty messy when we got back to see the kids. I mean, we needed to do laundry, there was a pile of stuff by the front door from when we had gone to Vero, there were dishes to load up into the dishwasher, etc. My house (my real HOME) is clean most of the time. Firstly, I dont have little kids messing it up anymore and second, I have the OCD. (I say that in my head in the voice that Jewish Mothas use when they HISPER (thanks T) to their friends about someone having the cancer.)

BUT, for some reason when Im on vacation I cant manage to pick up the littlest things! Oh well.
I wanted to hang out there and clean it up so it wouldnt be such a pigsty but the boys pressured me into going to the pool. I got the suit on, and went out to the small quiet pool near the clubhouse. Bob decided to swim with the boys and I made an executive decision and left them there. I wanted a drink! I walked around the corner to the big pool (skeery clown slide, anyone?) and the pool bar. I bellied up and ordered a raspberry mojito. OH! SO delicious! Then I ordered another!
By the time I stumbled back over to the quiet pool, Bob was looking a bit irritated. He wasnt but he WAS needed a drink so he informed me that it was HIS turn. I think he got Long Island Ice Teas. They are too strong for me!
When we finally got back to the room it was nearly 4 pm. Luckily, it was at this late hour that I remembered that Gus and Bob had a 4:30 pm tee time! OMG. I dialed the number quickly and then begged them NOT to charge me for it because I had totally forgotten! They were nice enough to cancel it and not charge us. The boys would really like to golf in WDW sometime soon, but I dont know when that will be. Its always so stinkin hot when were there!
The boys had decided that they were starving and that none of our pre-purchased from Garden Grocer food was good enough. I tried really hard to impress upon them the not having ADRs issue, the size of the wait theyd have to complete to get in anywhere WITHOUT the ADRs etc etc, but they werent having it. I called Disney Dining and tried. Nada. We finally ended up here, because they didnt have even a minute wait:
Well, the food was pretty blah.

I had to go back over to AllEars and find their menu so I could even remember what we ate. Sad.

I know we had the Hummus appetizer. Bob ordered Beer cheese soup and something else. I think SD had the burger and I had Hazelnut chicken. I dont remember what Gus ate. It was all very, eh. The service was bad though and they have you CRAMMED in so tight we could barely raise our elbows to eat! Lets leave it at that. I was not a fan.
After dinner we decided to walk around the Boardwalk for a bit. There were TONS of people setting up booths, a dj setting up on the lawn behind the hotel, an a bunch of kiosks. I never did figure out what the hubbub was but they were handing out backpacks to the kids, doing facepainting, handing out glowstix, doing games and dancing on the lawn to the dj music. It looked fun but like most things in WDW it was positively TEEMING with small ones!

Thats the way it
should be so dont get me wrong, but it does make it hard for anyone bigger to join in.
We decided to rent the four person surrey bikes. Everyday of our trip so far, weve seen people riding around in these! They looked like so much fun and we had no plans once we were done with dinner! The price was reasonable. I dont recall how much but it wasnt too bad. You get the bike for 1/2 an hour at a time. We piled in (Me and Bob in front - kids in back) and they gave us some instructions! I think it was like this: You can go all the way around the lake. Here is the brake. Use the bell/horn to let people know youre coming and dont go counter-clockwise around the lake. Thats it. Four rules.
We started peddling through the crowd. It was incredibly hard to keep a slow pace on the flat ground and the people! WoW! It was crowded around the ESPN area and I was amazed at the number of people that would hear our bell, turn and look at us and then just continue on without altering their path at all. Weird.

The ride was fun, even perilous and then the hill came. There is the tiniest incline as you go over a bridge (towards the International Gateway) and let me tell you, IF you ever rent a surrey bike you will understand me when I say: OUCH!!! I suspect that climbing the 616 huge rock steps leading to the Norwegian Hardangervidda Plateau would be easier than peddling 4 large, well-fed Americans over that dang bridge. The kids bailed out half-way up. Leaving Bob and I to huff and puff our way over. They jumped back on for the ride down the other side! We did switch spots, thinking it would be easier. Nope.
On the Beach Club side of the lake, a very nice lady wanted to take our picture. We thanked her and posed!
She wanted to get some scenery in the picture too, so we did another....
We drove off to complete our ride and hit ANOTHER bridge! Im sure this one was more steep but Bob said it wasnt. The boys had completely given up by this time. Bob and I had fun going down the other side of the hill though. Then we peddled back through the crowds and when we reached the place to return, the guy said we still had 15 minutes! The boys had abandoned us completely by then, so we peddled off to the where the bridge started. I didnt want to go up the hill so we broke the Surrey Bike Law and rode counter-clockwise back to the return! LOL. Only four little rules and we broke one. Law-breakers!
Here are a couple of photos of the boys all tuckered out!!!
Its hard to believe that we could cram one more second of fun into this evening but we did!

We stopped at the small store and bought beer/snacks/wine and then rented a movie from the Clubhouse. We got back to the room and watched Armageddon with the boys. They really enjoyed it. I always cry at the end. When the movie was finished we grabbed a drink and a spare and then tucked the boys in. We went out onto our balcony and enjoyed a wonderful adult beverage! Ah, another day done in paradise!
Sadly, we have to get up EARLY tomorrow because its:
Dum, Dum Da-Dum Dum Da-Dum Duh Dum.....

Yep. Wookies. Droids. Ewoks. Clones.
