we always use Sanford, but our airline of choice is now using Melbourne, does anyone have any experience of either hiring an adapted accessible vehicle that services from there or assessable taxi from Melbourne.

No personal experience with that airport, but if you have used similar services from Sanford in the past, I would start by calling them, and asking if they provide service to/from Melbourne, and if they don't, ask if they have any recommendations.
