Megabus promotional codes?

My mom, my daughters, and I are planning a girls-only trip to Chicago in a few weeks, and am debating taking the megabus there rather than drive.

Are there any promotional codes that anyone knows of? (Would be going out of Cleveland if that helps)

And also, how "safe" are these buses? I rarely ride city transportation (first time in my life was couple years ago when we rode the city buses in Seattle on a vacation).

Anything I need to be concerned about, or know about?

I've ridden megabus a few times Boston to NYC. We usually have a double decker bus. My girls prefer to sit on the top and if possible love the front row on the top with the big window to look out. I think the lower level has a table with a seat the faces both directions but can't remember for sure since we aren't down there. The restroom is at the back of the first level. Our busses have always had seatbelts.

Everyone on the bus has a seat - no standing passengers like local public transportation. Order to get on Megabus is simply by order of the line (in theory first person to arrive at stop with a ticket gets on first). The driver doesn't talk much except at the very beginning or end of the trip. Depending on the length of your trip the driver may stop at a rest area with food for about 10 minutes.

Ticket prices vary depending on date, time etc but usually the further out you book the cheaper the prices. I've managed to get a $1.00 seat a few times before. I've always felt safe on Megabus and Boltbus. If you have Boltbus I would compare prices. Also check drop off and pick up locations since they are not necessarily the same place.

My nephew who is 17 has riden it several times form Chicago to Cleveland and loves it.

In Cleveland the only place to park your car over night will be at the hotels which are $22 and higher per night. So you might want to get someone to drop you off.

And my husband will be dropping us off/picking us up, so i won't have to worry about any parking fees, etc.

Have you checked the rates for the dates you want to go? Rates are usually quite low already. I haven't seen codes out there.

Would have to say that there are pros and cons in everything, Taking Megabus service is quite safe (there's only one not so good news from megabus one time last year) and from there on there weren't any news like that. I used to use megabus service one time from cleveland to chicago. It was pretty nice and I could use the free wifi too.
