First off, Patricia did a great job on your hair and makeup. It's just lovely!

(And I have Pam Pearce as my WC too! :goodvibes)

And FG looks super cute! I agree about the super poof dress, but that may just be because of the fit on her.

Very nice! :thumbsup2

Awwwwwww..... Your flower girl is so cute!!! How adorable!! I love the fact she calls it her 'foofy' dress.... That is so cute!!! :cutie:

Aww Meg!!! I just read through your whole PS trip and it looks like ya had a great time! I just want to let you know that I am camera happy too. I take pictures of EVERYTHING! I love that you got a pic of Heidi's invite cuz shes a DISbride. And I absolutely LOVE your hair and makeup. You are going to be such a beautiful bride! I am getting soo excited for you! BTW I walked past SBP last week and I was talking to DF on the phone and felt the need to tell him all of the DISbrides that I know of that have gotten married or who are getting married there. Lets just say it took a while... :rotfl2: Well anyways I just wanted to say that all of your decisions sound great and I love SBP and ADH and your cake sounds very very very yummy!

P.S. - GO SOX!!!!
(I can't believe I almost forgot this... :rotfl:)

Hi Meg  I'm at WDW 30th Sept -14th Oct - can't wait! Were staying at CSR. I managed to get Patricia booked today so I'm super excited!:goodvibes

OK, Meg, add me to the chorus - your hair and makeup looked a-friggin-MAZING! I cannot wait to see your engagement pictures now! :hyper:

Meg and I are both going to have to learn silverware etiquette. We felt like such hicks. Any advice on this is more than welcome!

OK, I'm no Emily Post, but the general idea is to work from the outside in, starting with the first course. So when you get your salad, go for the smaller fork and smaller knife on the outside. When the main course comes, all that are left are the bigger utensils. And if they're gone for some reason, a waitperson will bring you more! :rotfl:

Also, I was sad that you felt out of place at the Grand Floridian - I don't think you have any reason to feel that way anywhere on Disney property, even the Grand Floridian, even if you're wearing casual clothes. The Grand Floridian is just a trumped-up version of any other Disney hotel. It's not like it's the Ritz - everyone else there is a geeky Disney fan just like you. :goodvibes The only difference is, they're paying too much for their room! :rotfl2:

And at the end of the tour of ADH, Pam drove Rob and I back over to the POP. That's just how cool Pam is!! Anyone who gets her as their WC is in good hands indeed!

Rob had a headache, so we didn't get to go anywhere that night. We stopped in the arcade for our last chance at playing Afterburner (him) and Out-Run (me). And then we went up to the room for a nap... which lasted all of 8 minutes before a thunderstorm woke Rob up. He wasn't going to just lay in bed and miss watching the T-Storm. So he took some tylenol and watched the storm. We spent the rest of the evening getting ready to go back to Maine. We packed and had dinner in the food court.

The next day, we got on the Magic Express for our trip home. Blecch. I took one sad picture on the way out.
IMG_0357.jpg

Sigh.

We only had one problem going home. Rob and I thought we were being smart only bringing one suitcase as we figured it would only cost us 15. Leaving from Bangor, our bag was 52 lbs, but the agent didn't say anything about it. Leaving from Orlando our bag was 56 lbs. The agent said we needed to take stuff out of it to bring it under 50, or pay 90 to have it go oversize! Luckily we had that bag we bought at EPCOT. So we took out all the shoes we had in the suitcase and carried them on the plane. We felt like such dweezers carrying a big bag of sandals through two airports (Orlando and Boston)

I got really depressed when we hit Boston! I was only 40 miles away from Worcester. I didn't want to get on the plane to Bangor. I wanted to stay home in MA. Again. SIGH. But I did and here I am. It's 45 out and windy. When can I go back to WDW??

BTW - here are our photo pass pictures. Where I'm wearing the teal shirt, we're in the Magic Kingdom. Where I'm wearing the navy blue shirt, we're in MGM.

Your FG is too cute! love her Foofy dress!

Hey Meg - I've been off the boards for over week due to travel - but finally caught up on your report today!
Looks like you had a blast at your planning session and I love the way your hair and make up came out!!!!

I am spending most of this weekend on wedding stuff - you may get an email from me ;)

Definitely adorable!!! :cutie: I like them both but the first dress a tad more.

Me too! But I think part of it was that Callie looks tired in the second one. Once it's all tailored in - it will be adorable!

aww i love the 'foofy' one! thats what i will be looking for for my FG dresses!

I love your hair and make up -it looks so natural! Beautiful!!!!

BTW I have lovedddd every bit of your TR, it was really detailed and you get mega loads of thumbs up from me because of all the photos you put up (i love seeing photos!)

Thanks Stacey! Rob made fun of me for taking so many pictures, but I told him he just doesn't understand how us DISBrides love pictures! :rotfl:

OMG so flippin cute Meg! I am so loving the mini-you dress! Adorable!

Oh and keep checking the roots website lol, I want pics now:rotfl:

Me too! It's a daily check in to Rootography.com. I'm so impatient! I can't wait to see them.

your hair and makeup went so well. you look so pretty!
too bad about the poofy fg dress but she's a cutie and will look good in the other dress :goodvibes

I think she will - she'll have a mini crinnie on and I think it will poof some more. And she'll be not tired and looking zonked! Thanks for the compliment! :goodvibes

Took a few days, but I'm all caught up! I'm glad you had a happy birthday and a fun trip/PS! That stinks that it rained the whole time! It didn't stop after you left either :( Your hair and make-up looked soooo good!! Absolutely perfect! I think I like the first FG dress too, but the second one is super cute too!

Oh I know - it just kept raining. I suppose they needed the rain, but why did it have to be while I was there?! lol.

Thanks muchly! Patricia is a miracle worker - I think she's just great!

YAY for Pam! She's another person who I think is just awesome. Honestly I would say if I hadn't loved her but I did. All my questions were always answered asap - no matter how crazy they were. You're in excellent hands with her!

Awwwwwww..... Your flower girl is so cute!!! How adorable!! I love the fact she calls it her 'foofy' dress.... That is so cute!!! :cutie:

Callie is a cutie! I can't wait to see her in it once it's all taken in and it fits her better. I've been told that she's already practicing walking straight and dropping things as she goes - very serious about this whole Flower Girl business! LOL

Ash - how could you forget Go Sox?! :scared1: Shame! LOL :lmao:We'll forgive you.. this time!

Oh your DF and mine could share stories. I did that too! LOL. He got to know all the DISBrides really well after those few days!

Hi Meg  I'm at WDW 30th Sept -14th Oct - can't wait! Were staying at CSR. I managed to get Patricia booked today so I'm super excited!:goodvibes

YAY For booking Patricia! I've never stayed at CSR before... but it's on my to-do list!

Thanks Carrie! For the fork and GF advice! I was probably just being extremely self-conscious at the GF because we really looked like drowned rats after the downpour.

PS- What about the forks and spoons above the plate? That's where we started to have trouble. LOL :rotfl:

Callie is adorable! I can't wait to see her in the dress once it gets back from having alterations done!

Hey Meg - I've been off the boards for over week due to travel - but finally caught up on your report today!
Looks like you had a blast at your planning session and I love the way your hair and make up came out!!!!

I am spending most of this weekend on wedding stuff - you may get an email from me ;)

Hey Wedding Twin! :bride:

I saw your travels on Facebook - glad to have you back! :goodvibes I'm working on the invitations and newsletter this weekend as well! Remember when we used to have weekends to do things non-wedding related? :upsidedow

Sooooooooo............ a mini-update if you will.

I went for my 1st fitting today with my rehearsal dress and wedding dress. The rehearsal dress needs to be taken in one inch at the chest, and the wedding dress needs to be let out one inch at the chest. They're both David's Bridal and the same size and everything! So go figure on that one!

Not much else other than a 3/4 inch hem adjustment and bustle to be done to the wedding dress. We're doing a one loop bustle - it looked best the way that the train is...

Continuing on the world's most dull update....

We've started working on the invitations and will be (hopefully) printing them up this weekend. I'm also doing a newsletter and will post that when it's done. I downloaded Microsoft Publisher so hopefully it will come out as nice as the samples sent to me by Sam, Vanessa and Christine. Thank you all! :goodvibes

I'm dying to see my engagement pictures. I know it's only been about 2 weeks, but I can't wait! I'm stalking the Roots blog, even though I know they'll email me when done! AHHHH waiting is always the hardest part..

I also decided to start a Twitter account after DF bugging me to for a good few months. If you're on Twitter - let me know! So far I'm following Rob and the Roots.

http://twitter.com/macmeggie

That's all for now - I'll leave you with my trial monograms from today!

Your engagement pics look fantastic! I can't wait to see the rest! You must be thrilled. You guys look so happy and excited. :goodvibes

And oooooh, I'm :goodvibeson Twitter, follow me! kimmerstweets.

OHHHHH they're great! I love the one of you guys under the arches - too cute! You guys look like you're having a ball! So glad the rain held off for you!

P.S. I'm with you why can't Women's sizes be like mens! I hate how you can buy 3 things from one store and they all fit differently. So annoying.... but yay for minor alterations too!

so cute you kicking his butt!!! so funny and tells alot about who you are how happy the two of you are together!!!

PS- What about the forks and spoons above the plate? That's where we started to have trouble. LOL :rotfl:

The fork and spoon above your plate are for dessert!:thumbsup2 I did a little more research, and if you have three forks to the left of your plate, the outside one is for salad, the middle is for the fish course, and the inside is for the main course.

Now, if you sit down and there is a fork on the right side of your plate, you are in BIG trouble because this means you have just spent $$$ to serve your guests oysters! :rotfl:

Looove your engagement pix! The dancing in front of ADH is fabulous (butt-kicking as well).

Oh, and thanks for following me on Twitter! Does this mean you're lurking on my Disney wedding-crashing trip report? :teeth:

Your make up and hair trial looks wonderful- you must be so pleased! I think your pictures have convinced me to use Patricia - I am not a big make up girl and want a natural look... Your e pics are great too- looks like you both had so much fun!!!!:goodvibes

LOVE your sneak peak e-pics! I can't wait to see the rest! And everyone keeps talking about this twitter thing and I think I might just have to check it out! Especially if you and Carrie are doing it! I mean if all of the cool kids are doing it I should be too! :rotfl2:
