Oh my goodness Meg! I had no idea so much went wrong for you. We had things go wrong too - dessert party, reservations - but thankfully our actual wedding day was perfect.

A note on your photos, I can tell you they are running 5 weeks behind on processing photos. I am sure that's not what you wanted to hear.
Do you remember the names of the photographers from your DP? I'd be interested...

Cant wait to read more and to hear about the GOOD things!

Meg, im sorry that the day didnt go all to plan. It looks like you had a ton of laughs in your photos - you and Rob look you happy in the photos and your great personalities really show. Your photos are so beautiful, and you looked so beautiful- i did not even notice your hair in the photos i have seen- you look stunning.

WOW Meg i can't believe so much went wrong with your day!! I'd have been soooo angry! Hair....eh...minor disaster caused by weather...probably wouldn't have ruined my day but pissed me off. but the CAKE TOPPER!?!?! OMG i'd have been livid! And the rude photographer and Dj that didn't listen? And the GLUE on your dress!?!? OMG Disney Floral is lucky you didn't have MK bridal photos or something the next day!

I'm so sorry the day was not as perfect as you hoped and i sure hope DFTW is doing everythign they can to set it right for you!

Oh by the way, i love your Photos so much, i cant stop looking at them! I showed them to a lady i sit next to at work and she had never seen such beautiful photos ever- she was so shocked at how good they were! I have also *borrowed* a few that i absolutely adore the poses of that i want to keep for my list of shots. Hope you dont mind!

I don't post on here much, but I do lurk, and read a lot. I just wanted to say "Thank You" for posting the reviews. It's a big help to all of us in the planning stages. We are using Jack Day for my parents surprise VR. He is such a sweet man to work with. I love him!:love

Meg, I can't believe I didn't see your thread here. I was waiting and waiting at your PJ and well, I'm glad I found you! I'm sorry your curls didn't hold up. That's part of the reason I decided to just pull mine back. my hair wont hold a decent curl if i used cement to hold it there.
Thanks for all the reviews. I'm glad you liked Rev. Day. We are using him and while he's slow on getting back to us. I know everything will be wonderful!
We are also using DPS just for our Dessert Party so now I'm slightly nervous. I hope your pics turn out wonderful. I'm sorry they were so rude to you.
Also, I can't believe they lost your cake topper!! and the glue from your bouquet melted all over. that's terrible.

I will say you look absolutely stunning in your pics though. can't wait to read more!

They just got me the photos... and that's another post! I think the photographers were Dean and Chuck.

Thanks Jen I wish I could say that DFTW is doing something, but they aren't. We had a wonderful day regardless, but grrr!!

So I got my DPS photos today. Was not happy at all.

<silence, crickets chirping in background>

I got them while I was at work, and I gathered everyone around to show them. People's reactions? "What happened? The day shots were so incredible!!" I had to explain the stupid rule that kept the Roots out of the DP. I really feel like all I've done in this TR is complain, but I really have had some experiences that I don't want other brides to have!

If I could do it again, I would only allow DPS to do candids. We missed out on the fireworks and there's not a picture in the bunch that either Rob or I like! And the candids are equally as bad. There's only one that I like and it was my friend's little boy looking at the fireworks, but the lighting is wrong.

So Rob and I are looking forward to going down to WDW for our anniversary and doing a DP dinner with the Roots and getting some awesome shots!

Wow.... I mean, I can understand the candid photog taking one shot of everyone watching the fireworks, but how about going up to the railing and getting some straight fireworks shots instead of taking two dozen pix of the backs of peoples' heads?

Yikes! Wow! I'm so sorry Meg! You still look beautiful, and if you can photoshop a good photo from The Roots into some of those fireworks shots you'd have an awesome picture!

Meg, I feel your pain. I think that first picture of you and Rob is nice though, so at least you have one. I think the problem, like it was with me, is that more of the pictures are pictures of smoke rather than fireworks.

I actually thing there are quite a few good ones of the two of you. I really think you guys look good, and the fireworks behind you are nice. I am a bit confused by all the back of guests head shots though! I'm sorry you don't like them, at least you like your Roots shots

normally i'm happy with the DPS pics and can't see what everyone is so upset about. But i have to agree, your pictures just are not great. You're standing like statues in each picture! Couldn't they have had you look at each other once?? And can't they photoshop out a bit of the smoke?

Wow, Disney Photography disappoints again. Do you think it's because they were upset you used outside photography? I have heard of some of them being a bit bitter about that. I am sorry but if Disney expects people to not use outside photography and use them instead they really need to step it up a lot more.

Hey Meg,

I think there were a few cute ones, the first one and then there's a close up one where the lights are kinda criss crossing behind you. They should have done a few different poses. The are definitely not remotely close to your Roots pics in quality but I guess it's better than nothing. I also don't get the million back of the head shots...

AAwww yucky!! I can't see them at work Sorry they didn't turn out well. This is exactly why we AREN'T using DPS for our reception and relying on our guests instead.
