Meeting friend in LA, should I do DL for a day?

A friend just asked me to meet her Memorial Day weekend in LA. She has to leave Sun. Should I try to stay and go by myself Mon? We just took the family 3 weeks ago and I am itching to go back, but never considered going by myself....worth the drive, effort, etc? I will need to probably leave Mon. night, maybe (Maybe if DH will let me) Tues.

Yes, definitely take advantage of the opportunity. It is great to go to one of the parks unexpectedly while it is still on your mind!

DL is fun by yourself. You have all kinds of opinions and ideas about the place, so why not take a day to do everything your way without a big group debate? You will be amazed at how much more ground you can cover solo. Be a kid for a day!

Great trip report, Bumber! It got me excited to think what I could do by myself.......hmmmm, no running from ride to ride I could take it easy, watch, enjoy, listen to the music, etc. Definately exciting to think about the possibilities!
