Meeting Chip and Dale at Park Entrance after Tusker ADR

My family has an 8am ADR at Tusker House April 27. My girls really want to meet Chip and Dale. We originally planned to meet them at Epcot, but they no longer meet there. So we are instead hoping to meet them at Animal Kingdom.

If we have an 8am ADR then go to the park entrance to meet them, will it be a huge pain to get back in the park? Will it take a long time? I'm assuming it will be at some point between 9 and 9:30, so I imagine large crowds entering...?

I was told they meet between bag check and where you scan magic bands. So it sounds like at least I wouldn't need to worry about bags....just having our bands scanned again to get back into the park.

Any feedback on this? Would it be very time consuming getting back in? I already DO realize it's a big extra walk to the entrance and back into the park....but this is really just the best timing that works for my family. We only plan to ride Dinosaur and meet Pocahontas this morning at AK....before hopping. I just don't want this to kill TOO much time...

We met chip n dale at rafakis outpost. almost no line.

Same here, when we were there in November, we met them at Rafaki's as well. Much easier and not much of a line at all.

It is not the best plan to go all the way back to the entrance, but you mentioned you know that, so I As PP mentioned, they are also at Rafiki's planet watch, but sounds like you are not planning to spend time at the park. If you check Kenny the Pirate's site, he lists them as meeting in MK in Frontierland near the water in cowboy gear, and in HS in 40's style, if you are going to those parks on another day. Is's just a shame to come all the way out with the pre-park opening ADR, when you could go right to Dino when you are done and hit Pocohantas on the way back out. Plus as you said with all the people entering, there may also be lines since a lot of them may stop to see characters. I'm not sure how long they stay out front, you could ask when you come in for your ADR to see if they would still be out there on your way out. If you decide to do it, you could try and get out there close to opening, then hit Pocohantas an head over to Dinoland.
