Meeting Buzz when ride is closed

Unfortunately for my daughter, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin will be closed for refurb during our upcoming trip. I know that typically you can meet Buzz outside of the ride, does anyone know if Buzz will still be available to meet there if the ride is closed?

I don't know for sure, but I don't think there's any reason to assume he wouldn't be. His sets there are pretty regular and it's not like entertainment and attraction schedules are linked.

There's no reason they would close the M&G because the ride is on refurb. I'd check the Kenny the Pirate for more details on schedules and such for your trip dates..

It's been a few years since we sought out Buzz in that spot, but when we did, he was more over at CoP , not by the entrance to his ride. I don't see any reason they would cancel the m&g due to the ride refurb.
