For those of you who have eaten at Primetime, what's your favorite entree? I love good old home cooking so this restaurant appeals to me. I am wondering which entree Primetime does the best job with...meatloaf, pot roast or fried chicken.

I am getting overly obsessive with planning my disney trip. I am even thinking about what I'm going to order at each restaurant and budgeting now when it's 4 months away. Does everyone do this?

We had fried chicken because you get 3 pieces. It was our first day here and we were STARVING. Luckily, we had the dining plan and used one table service to get the appetizer, entree and dessert & (drink). I absolutely had a great time there. We had reservations (made that day right after check-in) but it was just the two of us.

2 more votes for the chicken. We LOVED it and can't wait to go back to get it again!

Do I plan ahead? You better believe it! I'm a YEAR away from Disney and am starting already....

I'm in a similar position to you.
I visited Primetime in 2002 not expecting much in the way of tasty food, but I thought the food was pretty good. I had the meatloaf on that occasion and can recommend it. :thumbsup2
Trouble is...what should I have when I go back during my next trip in October? Both the pot roast and the chicken seem scrummy too. Though photos on the forum keep tempting me back to the meatloaf.

In answer to your last question - yes you are quite mad. Welcome to the club along with the rest of us  :lmao:
I hadn't really visited many of the WDW TS restaurants before - just Sci-Fi and Primetime and a couple of Character Breakfasts - so they didn't form part of my planning. The DDP has turned me into a meal planning nut as well as a theme park planning nut. I kind of enjoy it though. but I'll have to get help before I start using Microsoft Project to plan it down to the minute :sad2:

Fried Chicken All the way. You get three pieces. A Thigh, Leg and a Breast/Wing portion. Perfectly seasoned. :goodvibes My wife loves the Meat Loaf :Pinkbounc

Last visit, the family had all three of these entrees. I had meatloaf, but I'm gonna give the nod to the pot roast. DW had it, and it was pretty doggone good.

The fried chicken was moist and flavorful, but I'm pretty critical of fried chicken, since my mamma's has set the bar too high for mere mortals.

I have had all 3. The meatloaf was very good though I havent ordered it since. I dont eat meatloaf on many occasions, but I have to say 50s I would order again someday. DW loves the Pot Roast. She orders this almost every time. Again, it is very good. I have had the Fried Chicken several times. Kids also like it as well. We usually just swap out the green beans for another veggie. I love green beans, but not 50s GBs. All are good, you wont go wrong with any of them. Also try the PB&J Milkshake. MMMMMMMM!!!

We both had the fried chicken, we asked for white meat only and got 2 HUGE breasts, we could have shared a plate. The chicken was OMIGOD amazing, loved the green beans and fantastic mashed potatoes.

As much as I love pot roast and meatloaf I would still order the chicken

My favorite has been the meatloaf. On our last trip though, my dad had the pot roast and I tried some, and may have a new favorite! It was incredibly tender and yummy. The fried chicken is good too, but it's a little too much for me to eat (4 pieces, and I'm not a big dark meat fan).

The fried chicken is to die for. :thumbsup2

Watch out for the veggie though---I just posted a thread about it. Unless enough people complain, the green beans have been replaced with collard greens. I happen to like green beans, so I was rather disappointed!
