New to using mears (haven't flown in 14 yrs) and need to know how much a round trip on mears to ASSports. Do I need to schedule it or just when we arrive? How do you get a coupon??
thanks for any help!:earsgirl:

The rate is $29 return for adults and $21 for children. I got my coupon with my Disney package. If you are arriving during the day You just need to go to the Mears counter near the baggage claim. Call them from your hotel 24 hours in advance for pick up time. If travelling with 3 or 4 people a town car would be cheaper and faster
Here is Mears web site.

PS Welcome to the DIS.

I was wondering if I ought to get a ressie -- don't want to have to wait for 3 shuttles to go by before I can get a seat. Thanks!

Don't think it matters in the least bit. The only way a ressie would help you at Mears is if you needed a Wheelchair accessible van. There are only a few of those, so if you have a reservation, they try to make sure one is at MCO when your plane arrives. For everyone else, the only scheduling done is through the dispatcher outside.

I pre-purchased my tickets through Mears once, and all it did was save me paying at the airport. I still had to bring my confirmation sheet to the ticket counter so they could print my ticket, then take the ticket to the dispatcher outside.

So the process is no different.

You very well may, as its not really 1st come 1st serve but it depends on where most of the passengers are going and what vehicles they have available. I have waited as much as an hour at MCO the airport for a shuttle to BC. When you get your bags just hit the Mears booth and get your ticket - this can also take a while. If there are two adults one can get the luggage and the other can wait the Mears line. Then you head outside to a "coordinator" and wait to be placed on a vehicle. You may get a lighting pager like at the restaurants or you may have to wait to be called. Once onboard plan to hit at least 2 other resorts before yours unless you are very lucky.

For the return trip simply call the toll free number at least 24 hours prior and they will give you your pick up time, remember to bring your voucher. You may be picked up as much as 4 hours prior to your flight for the return trip and you will again hit more resorts and possibly several other terminals.

I have used Mears twice and for me the extra $ for a towncar is well worth it, I won't use Mears again. For as little as $90.00 plus tip you will be met at baggage, transported directly to your resort and most offer a free grocery stop to stock up on a few things for the room at normal prices vs Disney prices.

Depending on the number in your party consider a town car could be cheaper. Mears charges 29 r/t adult and 21 r/t per child. Towncars run from $90.00 r/t and some companies offer online discounts and coupons. I highly recommend researching the towncar companies. FL Tours is a Dis supporter and gets great reviews, I have used Qucksilver and Tiffany and have been very happy with both.

That sounds AWFUL. I have used Mears once & had no troubles like that. Hmmm.
