Mears to Gaylord Palms, taxi to POP, and ME questions

I am heading down for a business convention end of September. This is my first stay in Orlando that was not WDW related. After researching, I am thinking that the Mears shared shuttle will be most economical since it is just me. Do I need to book in advance online, or can I just go to their counter when I arrive? Are there any other options that might be better (yet still inexpensive)?

I am staying at the Gaylord Palms during the convention. I am extending my trip by two days and will transfer to POP so I can attend the first day of F&W. Again, after researching, it looks like I should probably just take a taxi from the Gaylord Palms to POP. Anyone know approx how much it should cost me? Any better, yet inexpensive options?

I booked my POP reservation through Travelocity. Can I book ME for my departure?

You dont need to book Mears in advance.

Taxi to POP unless a colleague is willing to give you a lift. No luggage you could take GP shuttle to Disney then Disney bus to POP. Would only make sense if you didn't have luggage and was going to a park

You cannot make a reservation for the Mears shuttle from MCO to GP, just go to the Mears desk located on level 1 on either side of the terminal. You may have to wait a few minutes for a shuttle, and it may make other stops before getting to GP.

It's only 3 miles from GP to Pop, so a cab is probably the quickest way to get there maybe 5 minutes and should be about $10.
Yes you can take ME from Pop back to airport, You can book it when you arrive at Pop or in advance.
