I have a question regarding the Mears shuttle van transportation. We're arriving this Saturday, January 4th around 3:00 p.m. We can't use ME because we are staying at the Dolphin for our arrival night then transferring over to GF.

I called Mears and the lady said you don't prebook the shuttle. They have a stand that you pay at when you arrive at the airport and the van leaves every half hour. This is a lot less expensive than a town car ($44 one way for 2 over $70-80 for towncar). When I checked Mears website, there is actually a place to pre-book the shuttle. Has anyone used this transportation? I could use a taxi as its only about $10 - 20 more. Also, do you tip shuttle the standard 20% tip that you do the towncar driver?

TIA

We used Mears on numerous occasions in the past. Vans are normally used for the service, although occasionally they use buses (usually from the resort back to MCO). The service is generally fine, but you may be making multiple stops (but so does the ME service). You can use the service for one way transport if you wish (and book ME back to MCO). We did tip the driver, who loads the luggage and retrieves it at your resort.

Thanks for the reply. Still not sure what I want to do. I may just look for a Mears taxi (more money but at least no other stops)
