We're still torn about our transportation for our Dec. trip. Its just my husband and I. We'll be staying at the Poly. I've never used either service, because we usually rent a car. I need pros and cons. Thanks!

For two people, the Mears shuttle is less expensive. Depending on when you arrive, you may have to wait for the shuttle to fill before departure. The shuttle may stop at other resorts before your resort. You may have to sit next to someone you don't know (packed in). The return trip is often via a big bus. You will not have much of a choice of return times and may have to sit at the airport longer than you deem necessary.

The towncar services are very convenient. The driver will meet you at baggage claim. Your party will be the only ones in the car and you leave as soon as you have collected your luggage. The driver will make up to a 30 minutes stop at a grocery for no extra charge. (Most services offer the stop, but do make the arrangements in advance). The towncar service is more expensive for 2 people - it's pretty much break even for 3 or more). Your return trip time is based on your flight's departure time and your driver's experience with traffic. It is negotiable. The towncar service can make you feel very special.

I leave it to you to decide which, if any of the above are pros or cons. :teeth: :teeth:

After experiencing both, we will always choose a towncar service - yes, I am spoiled! The extra $$ (for two) are well worth it to me!

We have never used Mears or anything other than towncar services. With 4 people it makes sense to use a towncar. I can say that our experiences with towncars and drivers has been positive. They are there waiting for you, they help with luggage and they take you direct to your destination with a usually happy and obliging personality.
