I thought that the only way we could do Universal (stayed at Pop with no car) was to call a taxi. So we didn't bother. But when we were waiting for our Magical Express bus this morning (came home today) a Mears bus pulled up at Pop and the driver looked at us and said, "Sea World?" and we shook our heads. I had no idea buses went from Pop to non-Disney parks!!! How do you find out the schedule? Does it cost money?

Thanks.

No schedule.
Yes money.

Mears provides transportation to area attractions for $15 per person round trip.
Reserve at least a day in advance; they'll tell you where (aka in front of the resort) and when the bus or shuttle will pick you up. You'll get a voucher for the return trip with a phone number to call two hours before you want to return.

Area attractions = Universal, SeaWorld, Disney. They probably also provide transportation to KSC, but that'd cost a lot more.

I never knew about these buses. Thanks for the info, I learned something new! For our next trip we plan to take a day trip to Universal and we'd also like to visit KSC. This will make it a lot easier! :thumbsup2

Mears will use busses or vans to Sea World and Universal. I think if the demand warrants a bus than a bus will be sent. I am not sure if the busses are on a regular schedule. Either way when you use the Mears shuttle you will either get a 15 passenger van or a bus.

The thing about it is the larger your group is the more you pay for the shuttle transportation. Usually if you group is 3 or 4 than at that point it may be cheaper to use a taxi.

There are also certain advantages in taxi transportation. A taxi picks you up and you go straight to the Univ. or SW. When you want to leave the parks a taxi is available immediately to get you back to Disney. The shuttles do not operate that way as tehy have to fill up to get going and they usually have several different hotels to drop off at.

Amazing! I was just going to post this question. For our family, it would cost $60.00 to get rt transportation on Mears to Sea World. Does anybody know if a taxi would be around the same?

We are planning on Sea World next Tuesday, 11/14.

Thanks everyone.

Don't know. See the Taxi Fare Estimator link in the "Popular Transportation Links" sticky. A taxi MAY be less expensive.

When we went to SeaWorld for the day we just headed over to the TTC. We got the Lynx bus that goes directly past SeaWorld. It's about $1.25 pp, each way (have correct change). When you get on the bus, tell the driver you want to go to SW. You will be dropped off at the parking lot entrance, just cross it and you'll be at the gates. Reverse it going back. It's the number 50 bus. Check their website for more info...www.golynx.com Hope that helps. We found it to be very easy to use. But don't try it for Universal...you have to make transfers!!!

Taxi to Sea World will cost you $20.00 to $25.00 each way. You go whenyou want and return when you want. There are Mears taxis on the stand at Sea World, You would find them in the exact place they dropped you off.
