In honor of Thanksgiving coming up and all those people out there planning their menus, lets find out what our favorite Thanksgiving side dish is!

The poll will be for the main ingredient in the side dish - please tell us how you like or make this dish - maybe we could do some recipe swapping :)

I love mashed potatoes!!!

No special recipes

I have to go with the green bean casserole! YUM! Only I leave out the soy sauce, and instead of the crunchy onion rings that I don't like, I add slivered almonds. Yummy!

Green Bean Casserole
from: Campbell's Kitchen

Prep Time: 10 min. • Cook Time: 30 min.
This family favorite of mushroom-sauced green beans topped with crunchy onions deserves to be served all year 'round. Remember this dish that everyone loves when you're making meat loaf, roast beef or fried chicken.

Ingredients:1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's® Cream of Mushroom OR 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. soy sauce
Dash pepper
4 cups cooked cut green beans
1 1/3 cups French's® French Fried Onions

Directions:
MIX soup, milk, soy, pepper, beans and 2/3 cup onions in 1 1/2-qt. casserole.

BAKE at 350°F. for 25 min. or until hot.

STIR and then sprinkle with remaining onions. Bake 5 min. Serves 6.

Tip:
Use 1 bag (16 to 20 oz.) frozen green beans, 2 pkg. (9 oz. each) frozen green beans, 2 cans (about 16 oz. each) green beans or about 1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans for this recipe.

We had our Thanksgiving last month, but I voted anyway! :)

A big pile of fluffy mashed potatoes, with a deep gravy lake in the middle....yummy!! :)

Stuffing is a very close second! :)

I love green bean casserole too, Sandy.:) But I like the onions and soy sauce in it.:teeth:

My grandfather used to make cranberry sauce from scratch. Before he passed away, he showed my uncle how to make it. My uncle says the recipe is a secret and he's taking it to his grave!!! He winks when he says this but....it's the BEST and if he doesn't pass that recipe on, there's gonna be trouble!!!

Stuffing is my favorite! I don't make it though, so no special recipes, sorry...I love my mom's! :teeth:

Mashed potatoes would come in a close second...I love mine with some Philadelphia Cream Cheese added in along with the butter while mashing! ::yes::

berry

Broccoli casserole is the favorite in this house. Lots of broccoli, onion and cheese.

Squash that my mom makes with Cheddar cheesse and onions in it.

Hey, I'm loving these polls! Not useless in my estimation...bringing back fond memories....except for the Easy bake oven...grrrr....LOL

For years we loved our DDads stuffing until about 7 years ago we found out it was OYSTER....YECK....just couldn't eat it any more! lol

Love mashed potatoes....just too yummy but my DHubby makes the yummiest maple sausage stuffing you've ever tasted!

Holycow

I love sweet potatoes. Too bad they have so many carbohydrates, I won't be eating them again for a long, long time.

we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, so I can't really answer, but I do love my Turkey.:D
