Meals - Christmas Week?

We arrive 12/27 - 1/1 there are 7 of us ( 2 adults/5 kids) What should we expect for meals? I really don't want to PS all my meals, but... are we going to be able to say go the 50's prime time cafe and get lunch without a PS? Or would only counter service be available without a PS? There are a few "sit down" restaurants that we definately want to hit, We'll PS them and work our schedule around them.. but I don't want to have to plan every single meal.

Ahhh....So much to do so little time!

My family and i are going the week of Christmas and have the same problem, it seems hard to get people to reply about Christmas dinners....It's our first time to WDW so i don't know what i expected but i heard and read books that say that they highly recommend the you do PS's for Christmas to New Years.....So what i did is figure out what park that i will be in around dinner time and made PS's just for dinner and then wing it for lunch....Breakfast not sure yet maybe eat in the hotel room with stuff that i might bring or eat at the food court in the All Stars Resort......I hope this kind of helps.....

We were at WDW last year from 12/23-1/3 and I'm very glad I made PSs for our meals. It is so busy. Now perhaps you might have good luck making them first thing in the am or the evening before. I don't know because I'd rather plan ahead and then enjoy my time with my family rather than be calling or checking when I'm down there. But I'll admit to enjoying the planning.

I do think you'll have trouble walking up to a spot like Primetime as a walkin that week.

Whatever you both decide, have fun. It is so beautiful at WDW that time of the year.

If you want to go to 50's that week, I would absolutely make a PS. It seems you have to wait at 50's most of the time even with one.

Any other sit down places you want to eat, I would make one there too. It is going to be quite busy. I think when you see the MK open till midnight, they are expection lots of folks!
