meal vouchers

We are planning our first (yes, our first!) WDW vacation and I keep reading about people using these meal vouchers. Can anyone tell me what exactly they are? And how do you get them, and how do you use them? Are they worth it for a family of four? I have two growing boys to feed on this trip and I'm looking for the least expensive way to go.

There is a very good thread with lots of info about these vouchers at the top. I have used them twice. The Quick and Casual ones are great for Beaches and Cream or Tusker House in the AK. The best way to use them is to know what restaurants you plan to go to, check the menus and the prices, then if it seems like a good deal - order. I got mine through Hot-wire.com. It is a great way to pre-pay some of your meals and to plan a budget. Also if your boys are older and are doing some touring in a park by themselves, you don't have to worry how much their lunch will cost.
