I have a question about a character meal. If we wanted to book the character dinner at Chef Mickeys, can we just pay for DH and myself? The reason I am asking is that DD eats so little it seems like a waste to have to pay for a dinner for her. Is there maybe a "plate sharing" charge instead?
Probably not, but before I make priority seatings I thought I'd ask

I believe that people have mentioned some waiters willing to charge an 'entertainment fee' for guests that choose to not eat at all at character meals, but I would imagine if she eats anything at all that you shoudl expect to pay for her meal.

Remember that MOST children eat little at those character meals, because they are just too excited to eat when their fave characters are around, and you're truly paying for the exp and the little bit they do eat.

There are waiters that don't charge on occasion, if they notice a child doesn't touch anything at all, but there are some that charge regardless. I think it's truly up to your waiter as to what gets charged, if that's the case.

So in answer to your question, buffets and character meals can't be shared - everyone pays, unless you don't eat and see if you can just pay for an entertainment fee. All other places are great about sharing meals at no additional cost.

(unless she's under 3 and therefore free anyways)

=)
