I was debating adding half board premium to our booking to just have it all paid for. However; after sitting working it all out it isn't worth it with our shareholders discount.

Half board premium would have been £450 and then we would need to add lunches to that so would end up spending around £550.

Using shareholder discount I can get it down to £463 for the 3 full days/full board - but I am wondering if I am booking too much food again BUT they are all places we REALLY want to eat - and Auberge doesn't really count as we eat very little so need a proper evening meal afterwards!

This is my plan (total is based on what we would really like to eat with shareholder discount; but not drinks)

Sunday night ??
Monday Lunch Auberge @ 12pm 135.99e
Monday Evening - Walts @ 6pm 72.22e
Tuesday Lunch Café Mickey @ 12pm 45.88e
Tuesday Evening Buffalo Bills @6.30pm 120.00e
Wednesday Lunch Blue Lagoon @12pm 55.67e
Wednesday Evening Inventions @ 6pm 116.03e

Sunday we get in at around 8:30pm; so by the time we get to the DLH it will be too late to eat properly - so was thinking EoS and McD's in the room. Thursday we were planning on an early breakfast and afternoon tea before heading to the airport at lunchtime!

What do you think? Too much? Blue Lagoon/Walts and Cafe Mickey is just one course - plus a sneaky pud in walts!

Really want to do ALL of them; Blue Lagoon because Rosebug LOVES that ride and always points out the restaurant. Cafe Mickey - Rosebug and I could probably share a pizza and pull that price down if we decided too much food!

Also wondering about one lunch in the Studios - esp as Rosebug has discovered a love of "The Paris Rat"
Any suggestions?

I can't help really but just wanted to say I'm soooo glad I'm not the only one that has a big list of restaurants to get through LOL. My thoughts would be to go for it and eat in as many places as possible...it's all part and parcel of the experience ;)

I too have been making my 'restaurant wish list' and trying to figure out a way to fit them all in....

We had the half-board vouchers last year, we got them for an absolute bargain when we upgraded the holiday but I didn't like them and would never pay proper price for them. Far better to use your shareholders discount.

I think if you're just planning on the one course it'll be fine. That's the trouble - too many restaurants and not enough time! :rotfl2:

Then it has to be Restaurant des Stars! :)

Is the "Paris Rat" there all meal times? Or are there specific times?

What would you cut out instead?

I am wondering if Inventions would work on our first night but that may be far too late for Rosebug!

Animatronic Remy comes out several times during the opening times of Restaurant de Stars

IMO it's a bit late and if she's tired none of you are really going to enjoy your meal - it's a lot of money to not fully enjoy it. And suppose your flight was delayed?

How about changing Cafe Mickey to Sunday night? You've got to eat so sharing a pizza is ideal and you can make it a short visit if Rosebug is tired. Then that frees up Tuesday lunchtime for Restaurant des Stars.

You may need to swap Walt's with Blue Lagoon or Inventions as Walt's probably won't be open on Monday evening - it's usually closed Mondays and Tuesdays apart from high summer season and will probably only be open for lunch in the week with the last sitting at 3:45pm.

It is a good job we still have 4 months to go as this is proving to be a massive headache already! We were discussing it last night. Hubby suggests getting rid of Buffalo Bills and Cafe Mickey...but at the same time REALLY wants to do both.

Tuesday will probably be our morning in the Studios - so should we cut Café Mickey out altogether and do Restaurant des Stars instead (in the hopes that we def see animatronic Remy)? But then this is actually going to make it more expensive than it is already.

Would you cut out Buffalo Bills?

We could do Cafe Mickey as Elaine suggests on the Sunday evening; but hubby is reluctant as he says we will be tired as we have to drive to Glasgow for our flight and get in at 8:30pm.

Although sounds like Walts could be off the list if it is only open for lunch later in the week? If it was a choice between Blue Lagoon and Walts -where would you eat? Rosebug is obsessed with the Pirates ride; but as it is a seafood restaurant - if it smells of fish I may not be able to eat much anyway (yes; I know; I know... but does it?)

I need a load more money and a load more time...

Sunday night – Annettes take-out (27e)
Monday Lunch – Auberge @ 12pm 135.99e
Monday Evening - Walts @ 6pm 72.22e
Tuesday Lunch – Café Mickey @ 12pm 45.88e
Tuesday Evening – Buffalo Bills @6.30pm 120.00e

If you do decide on Restaurant des Stars - you should see Remy as when we were in there he did the rounds at least twice if not three times. However keep a keen eye on the internet as his 'cousin' at WDW has been pulled without any reason given :confused3 of course this doesn't necessarily mean that DLP's is under threat (especially as he's the ORIGINAL!) but it doesn't hurt to be aware.

Walt's has the edge for me over Blue Lagoon although I love both. There isn't just seafood on the menu at BL but it is predominantly that so I'd say you're probably better choosing Walt's.

Thanks for the heads up - will keep an eye out on news about that.

There is stuff I will eat at BL - but growing up a trawlerman's daughter has made me quite intolerant to the smell of seafood. Does it smell like seafood (I know this is a ridiculous question; but I have to leave the room if someone is eating a strong fish)

I am thinking I may leave the meal planning for another few weeks; then come back to it with an open mind - she says! ;)
